Enjoy your life change your point of view

"Two men look out through the same bars: One sees the mud, and one sees the stars."- Frederick Langbridge, A Cluster of Quiet Thoughts

If you’ve placed second in a writing contest, will you jump for joy and push for better results the next time or will you be discouraged and find an excuse not to join again?

In life, you are always filled with choices. You may opt to have a pessimist’s view and live a self-defeated life or you may decide to take the optimist’s route and take a challenging and fulfilling life.

So why nurture an optimist’s point of view? And why now?

Well, optimism has been linked to positive mood and good morale; to academic, athletic, military, occupational and political success; to popularity; to good health and even to long life and freedom from trauma.

On the other hand, the rates of depression and pessimism have never been higher. It affects middle-aged adults the same way it hits younger people. The mean age of onset has gone from 30 to 15. It is no longer a middle-aged housewife’s disorder but also a teenager’s disorder’ as well.

Here’s how optimists are in action and researches that back up why it really pays to be an optimist:

Optimists expect the best

The defining characteristic of pessimists is that they tend to believe bad events, which will last a long time and undermine everything they do, are their own fault.

The truth is optimists are confronted with the same hard knocks of this world. What differs is the way they explain their misfortune---it’s the opposite way. They tend to believe defeat is just a temporary setback, that its causes are confined to this one case.

Optimists tend to focus on and plan for the 'problem' at hand. They use 'positive reinterpretation.' In other words, they most likely reinterpret a negative experience in a way that helps them learn and grow. Such people are unfazed by bad situation, they perceive it is a challenge and try harder.

They won’t say “things will never get better,” “If I failed once, it will happen again” and “If I experience misfortune in one part of my life, then it will happen in my whole life.”

Positive expectancies of optimists also predict better reactions during transitions to new environments, sudden tragedies and unlikely turn of events. If they fall, they will stand up. They see opportunities instead of obstacles.

People respond positively to optimists

Optimists are proactive and less dependent on others for their happiness. They find no need to control or manipulate people. They usually draw people towards them. Their optimistic view of the world can be contagious and influence those they are with.

Optimism seems a socially desirable trait in all communities. Those who share optimism are generally accepted while those who spread gloom, panic and hysteria are treated unfavorably.

In life, these people often win elections; get voted most congenial and sought for advice.

When the going gets tough, optimists get tougher

Optimists typically maintain higher levels of subjective well-being during times of stress than do people who are less optimistic. In contrast, pessimists are likely to react to stressful events by denying that they exist or by avoiding dealing with problems. Pessimists are more likely to quit trying when difficulties arise.

They persevere. They just don’t give up easily, they are also known for their patience. Inching their way a step closer to that goal or elusive dream.

Optimists are healthier and live longer

Medical research has justified that simple pleasures and a positive outlook can cause a measurable increase in the body's ability to fight disease.

Optimists’ health is unusually good. They age well, much freer than most people from the usual physical ills of middle age. And they get to outlive those prone to negative thoughts.

So why not be an optimist today? And think positively towards a more fulfilled life.

Why not look forward to success in all your endeavors? Why not be resilient? Like everybody else you are bound to hit lows sometimes but don’t just stay there. Carry yourself out of the mud and improve your chances of getting back on the right track. And why not inspire others to remove their dark-colored glasses and see life in the bright side?

Yours sincerely

Diet but know your fats

Margarine, butter, other spreading fats and low fat spreads, cooking oils, oil-based salad dressings, mayonnaise, cream, fried foods including fried chips, chocolate, crisps, biscuits, pastries, cake, puddings, ice-cream, rich sauces and gravies are all in this food group because they contain fat.

Like carbohydrates, fats contain the elements Carbon, Hydrogen and Oxygen. Fats are used as a source of energy: they are also stored beneath the skin helping to insulate us against the cold. Do not think that by avoiding fat in your diet you will stay thin and elegant! If you eat too much carbohydrate and protein, you will convert some of it into fat, so you will put on weight. You must balance the amount of energy containing foods with the amount of energy that you use when you take exercise

Soft drinks (not diet drinks), sweets, jam and sugar, as well as foods such as cakes, puddings, biscuits, pastries and ice-cream.

It is essential to have a small amount of fat in the diet, but eat foods containing fat sparingly as they are high in energy. Look out for reduced fat or low fat alternatives (by law any food labelled as low fat must contain no more than 3g of fat per 100g). Fats can be divided into saturates, monounsaturates and polyunsaturates.

Limit consumption of saturates, associated with animal products, cakes, biscuits and pastries, to reduce risk of heart disease. To cut down on saturates, make use of the information on nutrition panels on food products, cut off visible fat from meat and poultry, choose lower fat meat and dairy products, and where fat is needed in cooking use it sparingly.

Choose fats and oils containing monounsaturates (e. g. olive and rapeseed oils) and polyunsaturates (e. g. sunflower, corn and rapeseed oils) instead of saturates. In moderation these are not associated with an increased risk of heart disease – but still use them sparingly. There are two types of essential fats, which must be supplied by the diet in small amounts: omega-3 fatty acids (e. g. found in oily fish, walnuts, omega-3 enriched eggs, and rapeseed and soya oil) and omega-6 fatty acids (e. g. found in vegetable oils such as sunflower, corn and soya oil and spreads made from these).

Why try to finance a car when you will not even pay your child support

I've sold cars for Dodge, Ford and GMC and all the places that I have been I've ran into some of the same problems. This one is the worst. Why do people try to finance a car if they do not pay their child support? Do people out there really think that a bank is willing to loan you money if you will not even pay for your children? Or is it that you think that nobody will find out? Whatever it is, I made this article for all of the customers that have made me waist my time making a car deal just find out that they were behind on there child support. This is for you, stop shopping!

When you are is the car business they teach you to ask qualifying questions. That's how you figure out whom you have in front of you, without being intrusive. Simple questions in conversation like, which lender is your current car financed through. If it is GMAC chances are that you have decent credit, or you did a few years back. How did you like them? If they say they are great, they made their payments on time. If they say I hate them they won't stop calling me, then you probably have a problem. With that said I usually could feel a person out pretty well before we even sit down at the desk. I never found a way, without being rude to ask. Are you a deadbeat dad?

I never knew how to address that question. Most times you don’t even think of it because you will see it only about once a week. Usually a person knows that their behind and they want to try to get approved over the phone, and you can tell them at home to stop shopping. That is understandable but it is those people that say, "I have good credit I don't owe anybody." Until you pull their credit and find out they should say, "I don't pay anybody." Then they have the nerve to get mad at you when you can't sell them a car. It's not the salesman's fault you can't finance a school lunch. They puff their chest out and poke their finger on the desk and say, " if yall don't wanna do it I'll take my business down the road." Or they say, "This is the fourth dealership that I have been in today and everybody keeps telling me the same thing." Salesmen don’t get paid by the hour, why wouldn't I want you to leave in a new vehicle? That would be like calling a plumber out to fix a leak and him coming out just to say I don't fix leaks. It is not realistic to think a salesman wants to pass on a sale, or a bank will loan you money if you will not even pay for your own children.

If your not sure what is on your credit report look. It is free and can save you a lot of time and maybe embarrassment. If bill collectors are calling you or your not paying for your children you're probably not going to get approved. Most places wont even waist their time they send a manager to kick you out. If you can't even afford to pay for your children it's not time to buy a new car.

Body odour smells - false identity of deodorant

The human body and every part of it have their own offensive and in some unfortunate cases repulsive smell. Body Odour Smells if left unattended can turn into a horrible stench. Many types of odour are common enough for their identities to be pinpointed to certain regions of the body. Take the feet or under the arms these are both host to distinguishing smells.

You will find there are 3 sorts of secretor glands on the skin - one which we are most familiar with is the sweat gland where the odour is of an acrid smell. This turns into a putrid type smell if the sweat is left to build up - build up is brought about by the sweat getting trapped which then prevents evaporation. The other type of gland is the Apocrine Glands which are rich in proteins and fats and because of these it encourages the presence of bacteria. Then we have the Sebaceous Glands which eject a greasy type lubricant named sebum. Sebum contains fatty acids, cholesterol, proteins and waxes - all of these once again are like a magnet for bacteria. Bacterial infections can disperse embarrassing Body Odour Smells.

Unfortunately bacteria and Body Odour Smells is here to stay no matter how much you cleanse wash or rinse the offending areas but the good news is, you can prevent and lessen offending smells as such to reduce any embarrassing situations you may find your self in.

Perspiration can be calmed down to a minimum with different materials.

Try to avoid sweat instigators on the skin like synthetic fabrics. Cotton is a material that helps lessen sweat outbursts. You can speak with your doctor if you are experiencing strong pungent smells from certain parts of the body that you are not comfortable with. The doctor will be able to advise you on what is the best action to take in prescribing medicated cleansers. When treating bad breath - once again talk with a figure in the medical profession or your dentist.

No one is exempt from suffering from sweat but once again there are ways of keeping it in control with certain products scientifically designed to treat perspiration. Available over chemist counters you can purchase spray or roll on antiperspirants or deodorants.

Antiperspirants include aluminium salts which play an important role in reducing sweat deposits by helping to close the sweat ducts. Combating sweat with the aid of deodorant is hurried along with the inclusion of the antiseptic in the deodorant. Remember this only helps with the smelly secretion and not to eliminate the sweating

Deodorants contain an antiseptic to combat bacteria and they also reduce odour but do not cut down the sweating. Expect to find most deodorants to be scented giving a false identity to working miracles when in fact it is just overpowering a body odour smell for a few hours.

Body Odour Smells is a part of our lives that is here to stay so the best treatment is to face up to them in the best possible way and that is to keep offending areas clean. Be sure to check with a medical advisor before administering any over the counter drugs you may purchase. Certain medications and treatments for Body Odour Smells may not be agreeable to your skin thus resulting in allergic reactions so it is wise to seek medical advice.

Abstinence the only 100 fail-safe birth control method

In the simplest explanation, birth control and all its methods are based on either preventing a man's sperm from reaching and entering a woman's egg --- a process called fertilization, or by preventing the fertilized egg from implanting into the woman's uterus and grow. Among all methods known possible, only abstinence is considered to be 100% effective.

Natural birth control is considered as natural since these methods are non-mechanical and non-hormonal in nature. They are not barrier methods that kill the sperm or prevent it from reaching the egg. Adding to this, they do not involve the use of hormones. Instead, natural birth control requires a man and a woman to not have sexual intercourse during the time when the egg is available to be fertilized by the sperm.

On the average, eggs are released about 14 plus or minus 2 days before a woman's next monthly period. But since the egg survives for up to 4 days, and the sperm can live for up to 72 hours, the actual time in which a woman may become pregnant is measured not in hours or days, but in weeks. Several natural birth control methods are made, depending on which the woman is comfortable with. Calendar rhythm method relies on calculating a woman's fertile period on the calendar. Based on her 12 previous menstrual cycles, a woman subtracts 8 days from her shortest cycle to determine her first fertile day, and 11 days from her longest cycle to determine her last fertile day. She can then calculate the total number of days during which she may ovulate. This method is about 80% effective in preventing pregnancy. However, there are many factors that can still make this method open to error, foremost of which is human error in the counting of days.

The Basal Body Temperature Method is based on the fact that a woman's temperature drops 12 to 24 hours before an egg is released, and increases again once the egg has been released. But this temperature difference is not very large, almost less than one degree Fahrenheit when the body is at rest. This method requires a woman to take her own temperature every morning with a sensitive and accurate thermometer. To be able to use BBT as form of natural birth control, a woman should refrain from having intercourse from the time her temperature drops until at least 72 hours after her temperature increases again.

The Mucus Inspection Method depends on the presence or absence of a certain cervical mucus that a woman produces in response to estrogen. A woman will generate a larger amount of mucus than usual, just before the release of her egg. She can learn to recognize differences in the quantity and quality of the mucus by examining its appearance on her underwear, pads, or toilet tissue.

Sympto-thermal Method combines the three previous methods mentioned above. Not only are all these factors taken into consideration, but so are other symptoms such as slight cramping and breast tenderness. Some women experience lower abdominal discomfort during ovulation. There are also ovulation indicator testing kits, withdrawal, lactational infertility, and douching. Of course, abstinence may be the best option for any woman who does not wish to get pregnant. Be sure to ask a gynecologist for further information regarding these natural birth control methods.

Marketing executives go home

Thanks to the information superhighway, the news is getting out: the well-trained, educated worker can now work from home. Marketing executives have found their niche with business home internet marketing work. No one needs tips on marketing advice more than the small businessman working from his home for the first time in his life. Thus the inception of working at home via the internet has opened an entire new world for marketing executives, only this one requires the shortest commute in business history.

Marketing executives no longer have to don a suit and tie to help their fellow man learn how to best sell his product. He only needs a computer and a good internet connection along with the marketing experience he has gained from previous work experience.

Great business home Internet marketing work will show a small business owner how he can best use the Internet to market his product. Several great and several equally bogus websites exist to help businessmen or women market their home products. Obviously some methods work and other methods are just a sham. Thus a great market executive, be he working from home or an office, can give the home business owner excellent tips on how to use the Internet to maximize his marketing capabilities.

Additionally those with solid, business home Internet marketing work experience will know what does and does not work. Not all marketing schemes will work effectively using the Internet. Because the Internet has grown enormously at such a rapid rate, abuse has occurred. Obviously whenever something good exists, evil will also exist to pervert it. Those who see it as an opportunity ripe for their taking have perverted the Internet, created for useful purposes for honest people. As a result, hardworking and yet naпve business people have fallen into poor marketing schemes put out by dishonest advertising executives. Those who are seeking a professional in the business home Internet marketing work will check the marketing company's references. A great marketing tipster should be able to tell his clients what will work and what does not work. He should also be able to provide the necessary statistics to prove what works and what does not work.

Marketing gurus with adequate Internet experience will also be able to point their clients to the most cost effective way to market their product. These experts should tailor the marketing plan their clients' products. Ultimately, his experience with business home internet marketing work should speak for itself.

Marketing executives who work at home have the best advice for small business owners, because they have the necessary experience in internet marketing by marketing their own skills. Thus small business owners have the help that they will need to successfully market their skills when they consider going with one of their own: a small business owner working from his own home office.

Pros and cons of electric rc helicopter

Before you buy an electric rc helicopter, there are things you need to know.

Here are the pros and cons of electric rc helicopter

Pros

Electric RC helicopter is one of the more favorable kinds of rc helicopters out there in the market for several reasons:

·It is easy to fly

If you are beginning to take interest on rc helicopters, then the best way to a good start is to buy an electric rc helicopter. It is easy to fly since it only requires batteries for power. You don’t have to deal with engines and engine malfunction. You also don’t have to buy gas to make it fly. With electric rc helicopters, you don’t have to have knowledge about how engines work. You don’t need to tinker complicated moving parts since there is none. All you need to know is where the controls and your rc is flying in no time.

·It is quiet

Other rc helicopters, especially the gas powered, create a lot of noise. And this is often times annoying not only to you but also on your neighbor who wants to get some quiet moment alone. Thus, you cannot fly them around your neighborhood. The good thing about electric rc helicopter is that it creates no noise at all. Without an engine, your rc will fly silently anywhere you want it to fly without disturbing the peace.

·It is safe

Batteries are generally safe to use. This also goes with electric rc helicopter. All you have to do is to recharge it when it is empty and it will be off again in the air. You don’t have to deal with flammables and you don’t have to deal with engine at all.

Cons

Just like any other products, electric rc helicopter has its drawbacks. Here are those:

·The experience is less exciting

Full-size helicopters have engines and no helicopter is powered by electric current. So you cannot get a helicopter-like experience if wit electric rc helicopter. The engine noise adds up to the experience. Without it, it may be boring.

·Activity is limited

With electric rc helicopter, all you have to do is charge, fly, re-charge, fly, re-charge again, and fly again. Until you get to hate it. Like what was said earlier, you are limited to flying. Aside to that, no more.

Other RC like gas rc helicopter is more than flying, you get to tinker with the engine and in the process, get more excited every time you fly.
