You can buy winstrol online

The anabolic steroid ‘stanozolol’ is marketed under the brand name winstrol. Winstrol is one of the widely know steroids in the world. It is really an interesting alternative of dihydrotestosterone. Winstrol attained worldwide attention in 1988 when Canadian sprinter, Ben Johnson was tested positive for using the medicine; Johnson won 100 meter race at the summer Olympics in Soel, Korea using the steroid. The winner, Shawn Ray, and Canadian pro, Nimrod King were tested positive for Stanozolol during the IFFB’s (International Federation of BodyBuilders) short-term drug screening effort at the 1990 Arnold Classic, an annual bodybuilding competition, named after Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Stanozolol was first originated in 1962 by Winthrop Laboratories, and it was promoted under the trade name ‘Winstrol’. It comes in two different forms; injectable as well as oral. Both forms are equally popular, and the majority of muscle-builders, athletes, jocks use them on a daily basis. If used properly, Winstrol is a very secure and effectual steroid. Winstrol has many genuine uses in both human beings as well as animals. In humans, it is very effectual in treating anemia. Vets recommend Winstrol to develop growth of muscles, energize RBC fabrication, encourage bone mass, and improve the appetencies of ill or weakened animals.

Muscle-builders buy winstrol for many reasons. While not the strongest anabolic steroid available, winstrol produces lesser side effects, provided it is not abused. Winstrol is very useful at causing potency growths without excess gain in the body weight. The majority of weightlifters, jocks, body-builders buy winstrol to raise their muscle vascularity. Injectable Winstrol is reported to give the body muscle a stronger and healthy appearance plus quicken the oxidation rate of fat. Often, pre-competitive bodybuilders buy winstrol because it doesn’t infuse into estrogens and cause water retention and other side effects. This makes it a distinguished steroid to use during cutting cycles, when water and fat preservation are a major concern.

Internet offers you easy & convenient way to buy winstrol online. You can easily buy winstrol online. There are a number of sites selling winstrol and other steroids online, but you should buy winstrol from a genuine and a reliable site.

Personal hydration systems finding a personal hydration system is easy and convenient

:
For all you athletes and adventure seekers that require personal hydration systems to keep hydrated during your sports event and favourite outdoor activity, hydrating yourself couldn’t be any easier and convenient!

The days of clumsy water bottles and canteens are a thing of the past, and with technology taking us into the new millennium, this season in 2006 will be the year of the hydration packs and convenient waist pack systems.

Whether your sport may be cycling, climbing, hunting, or mountain trekking, there is one thing you must do at all times, and that’s keeping your body full of necessary fluids so you don’t experience any sudden dehydration. Prior to the hydration bag, you had to find a place to carry a water bottle, and I can’t imagine anyone carrying a bulky canteen that you only see in old western and war movies!

The fact that many athletes bring with them some sort of backpack or waist pack, would only make sense that the next option would be a combination of pack and water system. The backpacks that contain a reservoir with a convenient flow tube for the easy stream of water is the best logical way to access fresh cool liquid without having to dig around for the bottle, and when you finally find it, the water’s warm and tastes horrible.

Hydration Systems Quench Your Thirst With Convenience and Comfort!

The features and benefits in a hydration pack system are plentiful, and you can find the right hydration product that can fit anyone’s activity level. Many of the bag manufacturers are listening to your athletic needs, and with athletes and outdoor enthusiasts providing the necessary feedback, hydration backpacks and waistpacks are being developed in many tailored models and unique styles.

Many of the bags are specially designed to contour the shape of your body, and they have extra padded straps for comfort, and additional sternum straps for the safety of your lower back as well.

The packs come in all sizes and functions, and depending on the level of your activity, you can easily find a pack system with the internal water bladder system that can carry from 30 to well over 100 ounces of water. The construction includes many details such as insulated hoses for prevention of freezing in the winter, and other uniquely designed components that allow your fresh water stay cool for hours during hot summer days!

Having a drinking system that can adapt to your sport or activity is important, and when you can enjoy every hour you spend outdoors, without having to worry where to find your next source of H2O is the reason these hydration pack systems were created in the first place. Runners can take advantage of the waist pack system, where you actually sip on your water through the extended valve tube, so while you’re running you don’t have to fumble for a water bottle, which can easily take your attention away from the path or road, and avoid any injury.

Whether you’re taking your activity to the backcountry, or you decide to be part of a city biking excursion, having the right hydration gear will allow you to enjoy every minute without having to worry about finding quality drinking water. Having a source of necessary fluids is the key to keeping your body fully hydrated, and when your body’s hydration level is at its peak, you will be pleased that you made the decision to obtain a quality drinking system.

Sauna and positive effects of negative ions

Physiologically, the presence of negative ions in a sweat bath is as important as the heat. The discovery of negative ions in certain types of saunas a few years ago became headline news in Finland. Until then, the healing power of the sauna was attributed to relaxation and increased circulation. Now, negative ions add startling new possibilities.

Since the early 1950s scientists have suspected that ions play an important role in how the body functions and, consequently, in how we feel. Research has shown that an abundance of negative ions in the air we breathe is highly beneficial, while a lack of ions or a higher ratio of positive to negative can cause physical harm. The role played by ions in everyday life has become intensely topical among researchers in the medical profession.

An ion is simply a molecule with an electric charge, either positive or negative. Ionization, or ion formation, occurs when enough energy acts on a molecule to cause it to discharge an electron. Because electrons carry a negative charge, the molecule stripped of an electron has a greater positive charge and becomes a positive ion. The lost electron scoots around loose until it attaches itself to another molecule which causes the new molecule to become negatively charged--a negative ion.

Radioactive substances in the earth's crust and cosmic rays cause most ionization. But fire, crashing water (like water falls and surf), and plants during photosynthesis can produce negative ions as well. Europeans take ion depletions seriously and simple negative ion generators have been installed in many businesses, banks, hospitals, and passenger cars and even airliner cockpits. Furthermore, in this country, Europe and the Soviet Union, negative ion therapy has been used in treatments to help burn victims heal faster, to cure respiratory diseases, to rid the body of general infections, and even to check the spread of some cancers.

Conversely, scientists have found that if the air is charged with too few negative ions and too many positives, we become anxious, fatigued and tense. This condition is known as "pos-ion poisoning," and often occurs as the result of weather disturbances, central air conditioning, smog, and driving too long within the confines of an automobile. Pos-ion poisoning has, in fact, been linked to heart attacks, aggravated asthma, migraine headaches, insomnia, rheumatism, arthritis, hay fever, and most allergies.

The effect of negative ions on sweat bathing was discovered when researchers were trying to account for the tremendous popularity of sauna wood burning stoves over electric stoves. Subjective reasons, such as the fragrance of burned wood, did not fully explain why Finns felt so refreshed after time in a wood heated sauna and quite dulled, from certain electrically heated saunas. Tests showed that the practice of splashing water on super-heated rocks produced an abundance of negative ions.

Many electric stoves, it turned out, were not getting the rocks hot enough and the glowing metal heating coils were spurting more positive ions in the air. Researchers learned that if the rocks were properly heated in electric stoves, the positive ions, being larger and less mobile, would ground out on the hot stones.

the social killer

Scared to go out to a meeting to speak to a client? Need to deliver a speech but feel like fainting at the thought of going in front of the class to present? Scared to attend a social gathering for no apparent reason? You might be suffering from social anxiety disorder.

Social anxiety disorder, also known as social phobia, is a kind of mental disorder where the sufferer experiences a severe or unreasonable fear of social gatherings where there is a possibility that one may get embarrassed or ridiculed. Most of the time, these anxieties arise from an intense fear of being closely watched or scrutinized - from the simple things like the way they dress, talk or act; to important job functions like performing in front of a crowd, giving a presentation, or finishing an interview for a job application. This kind of phobia gives sufferers a feeling of being trapped or shut away from the world.

They say social anxiety disorder is closely related to shyness. However social phobia differs in the sense that this disrupts normal socializing functions. It is true that everyone goes through a stage of shyness in their life, overcoming it is a different thing. When it becomes too much that it interrupts your daily life and relationships to the point where you are sick with worry, it is time to seek counsel. It is good to know the signs and symptoms of social anxiety disorder to be able to determine and treat this said condition before it worsens.

People with social phobia manifest 2 basic kinds of symptoms: emotional and physical. The emotional symptoms include: an intense fear of being in situations in which you don't know people, fear of situations in which you may be judged, worrying about embarrassing or humiliating yourself, fear that others will notice that you look anxious, anxiety that disrupts your daily routine, work, school or other activities, avoiding doing things or speaking to people out of fear of embarrassment, avoiding situations where you might be the center of attention. The physical symptoms include: Blushing, profuse sweating, trembling or shaking, nausea, stomach upset, difficulty talking, shaky voice, muscle tension, confusion, palpitations, diarrhea, cold and clammy hands, and difficulty making eye contact.

Basically, this phobia manifests a symptom of being overly anxious around other people. Sufferers think that other people are more confident that they are, that other people are better them. They feel uncomfortable being around people that it makes it difficult for them to eat, drink, work, asking questions, asking for dates, even going to the toilet, when other people are around.

The good news is that there is a cure for this condition. For the past 20 years, a combination of talk therapy and medications has proven most helpful to limit the effects, if not cure, this mental condition. Certain anti-depressants (Paroxetine, Sertraline and Venlafaxine), anti-anxiety medications, and beta blockers are used to help Socio-phobic people to balance certain chemicals in the brain and minimize panic attacks during periods of heightened anxiety. Talk therapy teaches people with social anxiety disorder to react differently to situations that trigger their anxiety. The therapist helps the patient confront the negative feelings about social situations and the fear about being judged by others. Patients learn how their thinking patterns add to the symptoms of social anxiety disorder and how to change their thinking so the symptoms begin to lessen.

To be shy is quite normal, everybody has gone through a similar phase. Getting past that stage is the difficult part. Ultimately, it ends up to building your confidence to a certain level for you to be comfortable enough to move normally. In case you’ve been diagnosed as a socio-phobic, it is nothing to be ashamed of. With a little bit of therapy, proper medication, and enough support from people who believe in you, you’ll slowly be able to do socialize and function normally within a group without being too anxious.

Why asbestos is killing america

We all heard of Absestos and the horrible consequences it has in our health. Asbestosis is "a form of lung disease (pneumoconiosis)" which causes interstitial fibrosis or scarring of the lungs.

Asbestosis is progressive and, for the most part, irreversible. Respiratory impairment worsens with time, even if exposure to asbestos has ceased. Asbestosis is usually found in asbestos workers and not in the general public. People with asbestosis have shortness of breath, often along with a cough. Asbestos cretes Mesothelioma, and Mesothelioma is a form of cancer which affects mesothelial tissue in the lungs, peritoneum or pericardium.

The biggest concern mesothelioma is that can arise both from visceral and parietal peritoneum. It is diagnosed in advanced stages in most cases, and it often takes considerable time to arrive at the correct diagnosis, as the mean symptoms-to-diagnosis time reported is 122 days. The most frequently reported initial symptoms are abdominal pain (35), anorexia, marked weight loss, and ascites ; less frequently night sweats and hypercoagulability. Clinical presentation with fever of unknown origin, intestinal obstruction, or surgical emergency (due to acute inflammatory lesions) have been reported. Mesothelioma (cancer of the mesothelium) is a disease in which cells of the mesothelium become abnormal and divide without control or order. They can invade and damage nearby tissues and organs. Mesothelioma treatment if mesothelioma attorneys texas.

Mesothelioma is defined as an ICD-O histology code of 9050-9053. Data are presented for a five-year time period. Mesothelioma cell viability was decreased in a dose-dependent manner by lovastatin (5 to 30 microM). These effects were not reversed by exogenous growth factors or cholesterol, but were reversed by addition of doses of micro mevalonate, confirming that lovastatin affected mesothelioma viability by inhibiting mevalonate synthesis. This is based on the fact that Mesothelioma is a cancer of the thin lining surrounding the lung and this disease is almost always fatal, often within a few months of diagnosis.

The scary part about this ilness, is that mesothelioma has a much longer latency period compared with lung cancer (40 years versus 15-20 years), and mesothelioma is therefore likely to be found among workers who were first exposed to asbestos at an early age. Mesothelioma is always fatal. Mesothelioma has also been found in individuals who were exposed to asbestos only once decades earlier. The only known cause of mesothelioma is asbestos. Mesothelioma has a much longer latency period compared with lung cancer (40 years versus 15-20 years), and mesothelioma is therefore more likely to be found among workers who were first exposed to asbestos at an early age. Mesothelioma is always fatal.

Exposure to asbestos has also been associated with an increased incidence of esophageal, kidney, laryngeal, pharyngeal, and buccal cavity cancers. As with other known chronic occupational diseases, disease associated with asbestos generally appears about twenty years following the first occurrence of exposure: There are no known acute effects associated with exposure to asbestos. Exposure to ozone for several hours at relatively low concentrations has been found to significantly reduce lung function and induce respiratory inflammation in normal, healthy people during exercise. This decrease in lung function generally is accompanied by symptoms including chest pain, coughing, sneezing, and pulmonary congestion. Exposure to environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) is a significant cause of lung cancers in people who themselves do not use tobacco. Between 3000 and 6000 lung cancer deaths per year in the United States are caused by exposure to ETS.

Grieving is essential to letting go

People always talk about life. They either marvel about it, mouth-off a litany of complaints, or burst into a series of philosophical points to ponder. Life is beautiful...life is unfair...life is what you make it... so on and so forth.

But what about death?

Not very many people would be willing to discuss the mystery and dread that surrounds the issue of death. Most people find it too morbid to dwell on during one's personal musings about life, much less make it a topic for conversation. Perhaps, some may consider thinking and speaking about death if they are already in the grips of leaving this world or have just witnessed the passing of someone close to them.

Death is a difficult thing to grasp, understand, and accept. It is a threat and a tragedy that strikes fear even among the most stout-hearted of individuals. Yet, we all know that death is inevitable and that death will one day come to take us from this world and everything we have come to love and cherish. No matter how hard we try to shield ourselves from the reality of death, it is a thing that we cannot escape or evade. As it is often said, there are only two certain things in life: taxes and death.

We have seen death's shadow hover us, yet we still fail to understand its depths. In muffled words, we speak to mourners and try to console them --- even as we, too, seek comfort in the thought that it is not we who are inside the coffin.

But how do cope with death and dying? How do we help those who grieve? And how do we help ourselves when we lose a friend, a family member, or loved one?

Death is a one-time only experience which makes us who are alive totally clueless. To know physical death, we must first die. But surely, most people have become acquainted with grief --- another emotion that has close ties with death. To grieve is to be overcome by an intense feeling of loss. Aside from grieving the loss of a loved one, some people also agonize about losing a job, a prized possession, having a miscarriage, or the end of a relationship.

Still, perhaps nothing can compare with the grief that comes with the loss or death of a loved one. It is characterized by not just a single feeling but a whole succession of feelings of pain, disappointment, and regret.

While it is a really negative emotion...something that no one would willingly want to experience, grief is an emotion that must be felt by every person who lost a loved one. While the act of grieving differs from one person to another, the emotion is an integral part of the whole journey towards acceptance of the death of someone held so dearly.

While there are no exact ways or right approaches to the process of grieving, there are some common stages that people usually pass through when someone they love passes on. The first, usual stage is called denial. As soon as the news of the death of a close relative or friend is disclosed, most people feel simply stunned. They somehow could not accept or believe the dreadful news. Even in the case of terminally ill patients, family and friends would still pass through a stage of denial even if death had already been expected for quite some time.

There are times when the sense of emotional numbness initially keeps a person from grieving but helps in getting through some of the important practical arrangements that have to be made, such as getting in touch with relatives, as well as organizing the funeral. Sometimes, these feelings and moments of “unreality” may become a problem if it goes on for too long. In order to overcome emotional numbness, some people need to see the actual body of the dead person. Often, it is only during the the funeral or memorial service that the reality of what has happened really starts to sink in. Even if seeing the body or attending the funeral can be distressing, doing so can help the person release bottled up emotions and say good-bye to the departed. However, those who avoid this episode due to the pain it would cause may experience a sense of deep regret that may take years to overcome.

When the feeling of numbness disappears, it is replaced by a dreadful sense of agitation, or yearning for the dead person. With the anger and agitation over the loss of a loved one, a grieving person may find it hard to concentrate, relax, or sleep. Sleep disorder such as insomnia may develop. Even if the grieving person gets a few hours of sleep, he or she may be accompanied by disturbing dreams about the dead. Some people may even believe that they actually “see" their dead loved ones everywhere they go: in the street, the park, around the house, and in places where they had spent time together.

Guilt is another common feeling among people who are in the process of grieving. They could not get it out of their head and may even think about what they could have done differently to prevent the tragedy of death. The grieving person may need to be reminded that death is usually beyond anyone’s control. In the case of terminally ill patients, their family may have a feeling of relief once they pass on since the sick would already be free from the suffering. Still, the family may have feelings of guilt over how well they took care of their sick relative or loved one.

Suppressing emotions can aggravate the situation and could have detrimental repercussions to the physical, emotional and mental health of an individual. The truth is, buried emotions never really disappear. These emotions resurface and appear in the guise of emotional behaviors or acts that create vicious cycles or become self-fulfilling prophecies. When a person refuses to acknowledge his feelings of sadness, there is a tendency to avoid relationships that could only aggravate the depression. In the same manner, emotional eaters fall into a succession of binging episodes to find temporary relief from pain and grief. However, they also become angry with themselves after realizing how they have again lost control over their eating and their emotions.

After a stage of anger or agitation comes a period of quiet sadness or depression, withdrawal, and silence. Memories of the dead person linger and only leads the family or the survivor to more moments of sadness. Other people may find it difficult to understand when the grieving person suddenly bursts into tears for no obvious reason. During this stage, it may appear as though the person is spending a lot of time just sitting doing nothing. But in reality, the person is usually thinking about the loved one, going over again and again every memory --- trying to relive both the good and bad times they had together. This is a quiet but essential part of coming to terms with the death.

In due time, the intense pain of grieving, as well as the depression, will fade away. After passing through the stages of grieving, it may again be possible to think about the future. Although the sense of having lost a part of oneself never goes away entirely, the final phase of grieving is a letting go of the person who has died. Once the bereaved person begins to feel whole again, the start of a new life will come naturally.

Why is it hard to quit smoking

Smoking is emerging to be one of the major causes of death in the modern world. This is attributed to the growing consumers of tobacco. Tobacco is responsible for the death of 1 in 10 adults all over the world, which translates to around 5 million deaths every year. It is because of this fact that cigarette smoking is now a public health priority.

Smoking poses dangers directly and indirectly to the public. An indirect public health concern that cigarettes may pose is accidental fire. As for the health risks in smoking tobacco, the disease mainly strikes the cardiovascular system, resulting to heart attack, respiratory tract diseases, and even cancer.

In spite of these risks, the number of cigarette smokers all other the world has not dropped considerably. Though several smokers claim to have been meaning to quit this habit, they just find it so difficult. The fact is that after smoking for quite sometime, quitting smoking will prove to be very hard, but not impossible.

Why is it hard to quit smoking?

Foremost, this is because the majority of smokers become addicted to the nicotine contained in tobacco products. Nicotine has a deadly addictive power. How? When a person puffs a cigarette, nicotine particles find their way to the lungs through inhalation. From there, nicotine is absorbed into the bloodstream just like the oxygen people breathe. It travels with the blood to the brain where it locks onto certain receptor areas. Dopamine is then released into the brain. This is the chemical that makes the smoker feel a euphoric sensation. Smokers find it difficult to quit because they come to be dependent on this good feeling. And in wanting to experience this repeatedly, this leads to dependence – a sign of addiction.

A person who attempts to quit may experience withdrawal symptoms. Topping the bill of withdrawal symptoms is depression. With the absence of the chemical that produces the relaxing feeling, the brain becomes distressed without it. Other withdrawal symptoms from smoking include:

- Headaches, dizziness, and nausea

- Shakes, chills

- Cough, dry throat nasal drip

- Hunger, fatigue

- Constipation, gas or stomach pain

- Insomnia, troubled sleep

Not knowing what to do with their hands is another common complaint among ex-smokers while quitting. Once people get hooked, smoking becomes a big part of their lives. They seem to enjoy holding on a stick of cigarette and puffing on them. And after a long period of lighting up, it becomes a routine. As a fact, humans are creatures of habit. By some force of habit, smokers find themselves reaching for a cigarette and lighting it up automatically without thinking about it.

Certain “triggers” in the environment may also hamper a smoker’s desire to quit. Things may turn on a smoker’s need for a cigarette. These may be feelings, places, and moods. Even the things done routinely may trigger this craving for a smoke.

For those who have been smoking for quite a while already, they may not realize it but they form some emotional attachment to cigarettes. They find the cigarette calming and comforting during those stressful times. Cigarette smoking somehow becomes an extension of their social life, particularly when they are emotionally at the highest or lowest. Giving the smoker a feeling that giving up smoking would seem like giving up a trusted friend.

These are only some of the major reasons why it is hard to quit smoking. But there are also several strategies and quitting techniques that may aid smokers to finally give up on this tenacious habit. Quitting smoking all begins with one’s intention to stop. They must have the will power to overcome the craving for smoke. There are also a lot of quit smoking products in the market. These may also be worth trying. Support groups are proved to be very helpful, too.

Smokers must understand that to quit smoking may take more than one attempt. They must also try several methods before they can finally succeed. Smoking is a stubborn habit because it is closely tied to the acts in the course of people’s everyday lives.

Just pay a serious concern to a few issues.

1. The first thing you must consider is your body; you must take care and keep it healthy.

2. Secondly, decision to kill your enemy who is killing you.

3. Thirdly, cost that smoking has caused for you. You have spent a lot on this poison.

4. Lastly forget the past that will help you in quit smoking. Just remember that nicotine is my enemy and is killing me slowly.

With determination, will power and a strategy, quit smoking is not out of the question.

What is dry eye syndrome

Dry eye syndrome, also called Keratoconjunctivitis sicca or xerophthalmia, refers to a lack of lubrication and moisture in the eye. This is mainly due to a decrease in the tear production or an increase in the tear film evaporation. The typical symptoms of dry eye syndrome are burning and a subtle but constant eye irritation. The condition may also lead to inflammation of the frontal eye tissue.

There are several factors that may bring about dry eye syndrome. The condition is more common with older age, since tear production decreases with age. Dry eye as a syndrome may occur as a side effect of many medications. Harsh environmental conditions, such as a dusty or windy climate, may worsen the condition. Even your workplace environment, comprising of air conditioning or a dry heating system, may easily dry out your eyes. Insufficient blinking, such as, when constantly staring at a monitor screen, is another significant cause of dry eye syndrome.

The basic treatment for dry eye syndrome is to replenish the moisture content of the eye surface. To accomplish this, the ophthalmologist typically prescribes artificial tears, which are lubricating eye drops that aid in alleviating the symptoms of irritation and burning sensation in the eyes. Another treatment that goes one step further involves the application of Restasis (cyclosporine) eye drops, which effectively enhance tear production. A healthy diet, comprising of a sufficient amount of omega-3 fatty acids, lowers the chances of contracting dry eye syndrome. Salmon, sardine, herring, and cod liver oils are rich sources of omega-3 fatty acids.

Patients wearing contact lenses need to take an extra precaution prior to the application of artificial tears. Specifically, it is necessary that the patient removes the contact lenses before using the eye drops. Moreover, the patient needs to wait 15 minutes or longer for the medicinal drops to take effect, and only after that can the contact lenses be worn again.

Dry eye syndrome is slightly more common in women than in men. A shocking 10-14 million people in the United States suffer from dry eye syndrome. The condition is more prevalent among those older than 40 years. An estimated 75% of the old-aged population shows signs of dry eye syndrome.

If you suffer from any of the above explained symptoms that depict the dry eye syndrome, please visit your doctor as soon as possible to avoid any complications.

Rock stars music icons alcohol and drug overdose

There is a saying that rock and roll stars live on the edge and drive in the fast lane. Jimi Hendrix, Elvis Presley, Kurt Cobain of Nirvana, and Michael Hutchence of INXS did just that. They were music icons who lived on the edge. Sad to say, their fame and fortune also led to their untimely deaths. What's more alarming is these stars die a few years after achieving fame. News of rock stars and other music icons dying young is alarming, because their deaths are associated with substance overdose.

A recent study conducted in Liverpool John Moores University showed that 1,050 American and European artists or so-called “icons” died earlier than average people. Of the 100 stars that died from 1956 to 2005, majority of these American “music icons” died at the age of 42 on average, while those from Europe passed away at 35 years of age. The reason? Unhealthy lifestyle, improper diet, drug addiction, and alcohol and substance abuse. In addition, part of the dilemma is living with the stress and anxiety associated with fame.

According to the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health, drug and alcohol are the primary causes of many deaths of music stars, which accounted for one in every four deaths. Alcohol damages the body in many ways. It can affect the brain and can lead to poor coordination, faulty judgment, slowed reflexes, distorted vision, memory lapses, and blackouts. Alcohol can damage many organs in the body. It is absorbed directly in the bloodstream and raises the risk of acquiring life-threatening ailments like cancer. Extremely high doses of alcohol can even cause alcohol poisoning, coma, or even death.

It is a fact that many celebrities and music personalities are involved in the repeated and excessive use of drugs and substances. High doses of many illegal drugs can cause immediate life-threatening problems like heart attack, respiratory failure, and coma. The combination of drugs and alcohol are extremely dangerous. In addition, some drugs can have dangerous interactions with alcohol. The human body can only handle so many toxins at once, this is the reason why illegal drugs should not be taken with alcohol. There are times that drug can chemically interact with alcohol, when taken with alcohol it disperses faster in the bloodstream and take effect faster. These are the reasons why alcohol and drug overdose is one of the leading cause of death among music icons and many individuals.

The number of rock stars who died and are dying at a young age is cause of alarm for society because many artists are influential among children and young people. They want to be like them—the rock gods. The young people hero-worship them. They buy their albums, watch their concerts, and even try to dress like them. A lot young people want to be like rock stars. They want fame, money, and other expensive stuff. Young people of today want to be rock stars more than anything else. They want to sing loud songs, strum the guitars to produce loud music, and beat the drums real hard. The young people want to experience the euphoria that these rock icons claim they feel whenever they're on stage. Sad to say, all the fame, fortune, and money were not able to change the fact that many rock stars and music icons died early.

Jimi Hendrix, Elvis Presley, Kurt Cobain, and Michael Hutchence What went wrong? Were they overwhelmed by fame that they lost control of reality and turned to drugs and other banned substances? It is clear that these rock stars were not happy at all. Death in some ways make people more interesting and famous than they were still alive. However, dead rock stars are reminders of the pain and depression that may take place as side effects of fame.

Physical therapy as alternative pain relief

Many people suffer from chronic pain due to health conditions such as arthritis and menstrual cramps. while others experience acute pain as a result of injury or surgery. If you're a pain sufferer, you have plenty of options to ease those pains. While most pain relief medications come in the form of a pill, there are a number of alternative pain relief treatments such as snake oil which is now sold various shapes and sizes.

However, before trying any of these pain relief approaches, always make it a point to consult with your doctor. Some alternative pain relief therapies may not be appropriate for you or may have serious side effects, even if they are of the non-pharmaceutical type. There are factors to be considered including medical condition as well as patient history before undergoing any treatment.

Bear in mind that not all available options are perfect alternative pain relief treatments. While a certain pain relief may work to some people, the same remedy may not work with others. There are some pain relievers that do not provide complete pain relief. You may have to try a number of different strategies and combine some of them before finding an acceptable level of pain relief. As with any treatment, there may also be risks and side effects.

Many people would do anything to find a relief for their pains. One of the advantages of trying out a number of alternative pain relief remedies is that you may find a pain relief treatment that works for you. Penney Cowan, executive director and founder of the American Chronic Pain Association advises pain sufferers to take an active part in their own rehabilitation. People should learn pain management and to know their role in how to regain control of their life in order to live with the pain which seems to have taken over.

While there is no specific cure to pain, physical therapy is very effective alternative pain relief and highly recommended. Hayes Wilson, MD, chief rheumatologist at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta and national medical adviser to the Arthritis Foundation, recommends physical therapy to almost all his patients because it teaches people how to take care of themselves. He believes in the clichй, “give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man how to fish, and feed him for life.”

Physical therapists are like fishing instructors who teach patients the self-management skills of pain management. Therapists encourage arthritis patients how to deal with pain in a day-to-day basis by showing them how to build up strength and improve range of motion, and how to make sensible decisions about activities to prevent arthritic flare-ups.

However, keep in mind that physical therapy is not intended to act as an elixir for pain, but rather, as an alternative pain relief treatment. In the case of patients with severe rheumatoid arthritis, which can take 10 to 15 years off a patient's life, physical therapy serves only as a supplement to immune-modulating drugs. While physical therapy can help decrease inflammation in osteoarthritis, the condition could worsen if swelling isn't fully addressed with the appropriate medicines.

Scouting for cheap medicines

Spending for prescription drugs just seem to keep on getting higher every time you go to a pharmacy. Making some changes in your lifestyle might help reduce your need for medicines. Chronic illnesses like high blood pressure, diabetes, and low back pain can be managed better if a patient engages in regular exercise, loses excess weight, and consumes a balanced, healthy diet. Most likely, the patient who practices these self-care methods would also have lesser medicine requirements.

It is common knowledge that being under constant medication is expensive, and in itself, is a source of anxiety for patient. Going without medicine, however, is not an option. But what often escapes the notice of many patients is the availability of safe, affordable, and effective prescription medicines. Generic drugs are cheap medicines that were made specifically as the less expensive duplicates of brand-name medicines. The first step is to consult a doctor or pharmacist about the generic equivalent of the brand-name medicine that was prescribed for a particular condition. Generic medicines are made according to the same strict U. S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) standards as brand-name drugs and therefore have the same quality, strength, purity, and stability as their more expensive counterparts. However, not all brand-name medicines have generic equivalents.

When scouting for cheap medicines, it is important for the pharmacist to know the patient’s medical history, including all the prescription and over-the-counter drugs, dietary supplements, and herbal alternatives that were taken or are being used by the said patient. Knowledge about a patient’s medical history will help prevent negative drug interactions, side effects, and other medical problems.

Scouting for less expensive medication is best done by going to online drugstores. These virtual pharmacies in the Internet offer very affordable products and price discount promos. Going online to scout and buy medicines will also save you trips to the pharmacy which usually involves patiently navigating through heavy traffic and standing in line.

Another strategy that can help you save money without losing drug effectiveness or safety is by pill splitting. Some tablets are available at double the dose with the same or almost the same cost as lower doses. By splitting the larger dose, you can essentially get two doses for the price of one. However, some medicines should not be split, including timed-release pills and capsules.

Ask your doctor or pharmacist if any of your prescription medicines are sold at higher dosages and if it's possible to split them. Talk to your pharmacist about how to split pills with an inexpensive, easy-to-use pill splitter.

Those who are using a certain medicine for the first time should not get more than a one-month supply. If possible, get only one-week worth of medicine so that when the medicine doesn't work and needs to be changed right away, you are able to save paying for more than you actually used.

But if you are already taking a medication on a regular basis, buying medicines by bulk can also save money. Many pharmacies and online sites offer price discounts for bulk purchases. Ask your doctor if it's possible to have a prescription for several months' supply of medicines that you can take consistently. Always remember that your insurance company may limit the amount of medicine you can get at one time. Sometimes the cash price for a 3-month supply of medicine is less costly than if you were to pay the insurance co-pay each month for three months. Mail-order services can often save you money on large orders. But make sure to use only trusted, reliable pharmacy Web sites.

For cheap medicines, try over-the-counter alternatives for your prescription medicine. However, they usually come in lower strengths. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for instructions on how to take them.

According to recent studies, antibiotics are not always needed. These often-expensive medications should only be taken when it is prescribed by a doctor. For example, up to 80% of ear infections get better even without the use of antibiotics. Likewise, up to two-thirds of people with acute sinusitis improve on their own without antibiotic treatment.

Some private and State-funded programs should also be looked into as a source of cheaper or even free medicines and health care services. Patient assistance programs from some pharmaceutical companies offer free or discounted drugs for people who cannot afford them. Some non-profit organizations provide doctors and other health care providers with the information they need to access these programs, which include state programs for seniors, disabled, and low-income people.

While the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) offers medicine assistance program to people with rare diseases whose income is too high to qualify for Medicaid but too low to pay for their prescribed medicines, the Veterans Administration offers prescription drug coverage for retired veterans, their families and survivors.

Ask your doctor to knock your socks off

Reflexes, blood pressure, eyesight and respiration - all are commonly checked during an annual physical exam. But often overlooked during checkups is what many call "the mirror of your health" - the feet.

The human foot often is the first to show initial signs of severe medical conditions, such as diabetes. That's why the American Podiatric Medical Association is urging those at risk for diabetes to ask for foot exams during their regular checkups.

Diabetes affects 18 million Americans by keeping their bodies from producing or properly using insulin, which is needed to convert sugars, starches and other food into energy.

Unfortunately, many Americans - nearly 5.2 million, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - are unaware they're diabetic and don't recognize the disease's early warning signs, which usually occur in the feet.

When it's too late, the consequences often are severe: heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, blindness, kidney disease and even amputation. In fact, diabetes is the leading cause of nontraumatic foot amputations each year.

The good news is there are ways to detect diabetes at its onset, before it does further damage.

"Early detection is paramount and something as simple as taking your shoes and socks off for a foot screening could assist in diagnosis of diabetes earlier," said APMA President Dr. Lloyd Smith.

In fact, annual foot screenings could reduce diabetic foot amputations by as much as 85 percent, according to APMA.

Knowing foot-related diabetes warning signs also is vital in early detection. Alert a family physician or podiatrist to these signs:

* Redness.

* Numbness.

* Swelling.

* Feet feel cold to the touch from decreased blood circulation.

* Inflammation.

* Noticeable changes to the feet.

The relation between diets and gout

Gout is a very common disease among the elderly and people with weight problems. The disease predominantly affects men and it has the highest incidence among people with ages over 50. Although gout has a pronounced hereditary character, people who follow “unhealthy” diets are very susceptible to developing the disease as well.

For years, medical scientists have been trying to reveal conclusive evidence regarding the contribution of diets in the occurrence and the progression of gout. Thanks to the abundance of accumulated data upon this matter, nowadays we know for a fact that gout is most likely to strike among the people who follow fatty meat and seafood diets. Meat products and seafood have been confirmed to greatly increase the levels of uric acid in the blood, thus facilitating the occurrence of gout. However, research studies have also revealed the fact that inappropriate diet isn’t the only cause of the disease, as many people with high uric acid levels due to unhealthy food regimens aren’t affected by gout. It seems that the occurrence and the progression of gout are strongly influenced by genetic heritage, the consumption of alcoholic beverages, inactive lifestyle and body weight.

Recent findings have revealed the fact that low-fat dairy products have an important role in both preventing and overcoming the undesirable effects of gout. It seems that milk proteins help the body excrete the excess of uric acid, the primarily responsible substance in the occurrence of gout. Statistics indicate that people who follow low-fat dairy regimens are two times less likely to develop gout than people who don’t consume dairy products at all. In order to prevent the occurrence of gout, nutritionists recommend drinking around two glasses of skim-milk each day.

People who are at risk of developing gout are advised to limit the intake of meats such as pork, beef, lamb and duck. Seafood also contains high levels of purines and thus it should be avoided as much as possible. Organ meats such as liver, heart and kidney should be permanently excluded from one’s diet, as they considerably increase the risk of gout. In addition, people at risk of gout should limit the consumption of alcohol, as it greatly contributes to the development of the disease.

Although vegetables are a lot healthier than meat products, as they contain non-saturated fats and natural fibers, they can sometimes increase one’s risk of developing gout, as they also contain purines, which add to the body’s production of uric acid. However, a regimen based on fresh salads and vegetables is a lot healthier than meat-based diets. In order to help the body excrete the excess of uric acid, people at risk of developing gout are advised to drink at least two liters of water each day.

Essential skin care products for men

More often than not, when we are discussing skin care products, the ensuing conversation tends to focus on products for women. Although most skin care products are designed with women in mind, there is a growing market for quality skin care products for men. A number of forward thinking companies have acknowledged this untapped market, and have released a number of products designed for men. I recently reviewed some of these products, with the help of a male friend. The following are some of the best in skin care products for men.

Neutrogena has released an excellent line of products, available in two specific product categories; Skin Clearing and Razor Defense. The Skin Clearing line is designed to help men that have problems with Acne. This category includes a facial wash, shaving cream, and an after shave astringent. The Razor Defense series is intended for use by men with no specific skin conditions and includes a gentle face scrub, shave gel, and face lotion. They all have a fresh, clean smell and are highly effective.

Aveda also offers some wonderful products for men. Their products are designed with the highest quality standards, and they include a number of certified organic ingredients. The Rosemary Mint Shaving Gel is absolutely incredible. It has organic lavender, marjoram, peppermint, and rosemary in it. It also has coconut-derived moisturizers that assist in providing a smooth, friction-free shave. Aveda also has a shampoo/body bar that provides an invigorating wash. It is made with coconut and almonds, both of which are very good for your skin.

We also sampled a number of fine products from Jurlique. We purchased the Men's Deluxe Travel Kit which included shaving gel, foaming face cleanser, antioxidant moisturizer, moisturizing lotion, as well as shower and shampoo gel. The travel kit even came with its very own face towel! All of the organic ingredients in these products are grown in southern Australia, and they are included in these products using a unique biointrinsic extraction process. Jurlique is a wonderful company with some excellent products that come highly recommended.

There are a lot of quality products on the market for men. I would recommend trying a number of different products, in order to find the one you like best. While using quality skin care products may not be a significant priority for men, we hope that through education and insightful information this will change. Men may not care to learn the truth about eye creams, but they should care about taking care of themselves. Ladies, perhaps you could give them a helping hand?

Professional skin care tips according to your skin type

Who wouldn't want to have a smooth, flawless skin features? Everyone, particularly women, is crazy about having a beautiful skin. That is why so many beauty treatments and products are widely available today to meet the increasing demand of beauty fanatics for means that can give or help them maintain their young and gorgeous skin.

However, beauty treatments and products do not always have the same effect on women and men. In fact, finding the best skin care treatment and product may take time. Skin experts also recommend the use of treatments and products based on a person’s skin type.

The five skin types, which are normal, oily, sensitive, dry, and combination of dry and oily skin, require proper skin care recommendations, as each type has different reactions with various skin enhancement treatments and products.

Below are professional skin care recommendations for each type of skin conditions that will best guide beauty-conscious individuals on choosing which beauty tips, treatments, and products will work best for their skin type:

1. Dry skin

When your skin is dry, it basically needs a lot of thorough care, for it is very sensitive to irritation, facial lines, and flaking. You should focus on keeping your face properly moisturized. Skin care products containing natural ingredients are the highly recommended product treatments for dry skin. Perfect examples of these natural skin care products are the ones with extra-virgin, coconut oil, and shea butter ingredients.

Washing the face with herbal infusion and cleansing milk is a better way of cleaning the face instead of using tap water. Remember that your dry skin will look smoother and healthier if proper care and maintenance are practiced.

2. Oily skin

Oily skin needs to be frequently hydrated and oil free. If you happen to have an oily skin, you must wash your face at least two to three times a day. Regular treatments for acne are also a must. As for recommended skin care products, a mild soap and moisturizer are perfect for oily skin. Masks are also great moisturizing options for their hydrating and drying ingredients. It is best to apply such facial mask once or twice a week to keep the face well hydrated.

3. Normal skin

Lucky are those gifted with normal skin as it is the least problematic type. However, a normal skin feature still needs to be regularly moisturized, nourished, and cleansed. Top recommended treatment for natural skin is washing the face with rose water or an alcohol-free astringents. Moisturizers for this type of skin condition should be mild and non-greasy. Always wash your face before going to bed, using a mild soap, then finishing it off with a nourishing cream.

4. Sensitive skin

A sensitive skin is probably the most complicated skin type. It needs constant and thorough care as it is always irritated and dry. If you have a sensitive skin, maintain a steady consumption of yogurt, protein, and fatty acids.

5. Combination skin

Having a combination skin type is difficult to manage as it requires two different skin care approaches. Properly maintaining skin care regimen for both dry and oily skin types is necessary to keep a healthy and smooth skin feature.

Pneumonia investigating the rise of lung infections among us troops

Between March 2003 and March 2004, US soldiers in Iraq have been hit at a higher than normal rate by a rare type of disease. A disease characterized by fever, respiratory failure, and an infiltration of the lungs. It has been diagnosed in 18 US soldiers. Two fatalities have been recorded thus far. The report was based on records provided by the Journal of the American Medical Association. While there are a number of medical theories about the cause of the illness, military doctors are pointing out to pneumonia as the culprit.

Pneumonia is the baffling disease that has continually plagued American soldiers. Moreover, mysterious pneumonia-like illnesses and breathing problems appear to be striking US troops in greater numbers than the military has identified in an investigation, which also include more deaths, according to survivors and their families.

Pneumonia is simply defined as an infection of the lungs. Many different organisms can cause it, including bacteria, virus, and fungi. Pneumonia can range from mild to severe, and can even be deadly. The severity depends on the type of organism causing pneumonia, as well as age and underlying health. It is a common illness that affects millions of people each year in the United States. Bacterial pneumonias tend to be the most serious and, in adults, the most common cause of pneumonia. The most common pneumonia-causing bacterium in adults is Streptococcus pneumoniae (pneumococcus).

Most people who develop pneumonia initially have symptoms of a cold which are then followed by a high fever (sometimes as high as 104 degrees Fahrenheit), shaking chills, and a cough with sputum production. The sputum is usually discolored and sometimes bloody. Patients may become short of breath. Chest pain may develop if the outer aspects of the lung are involved. This pain is usually sharp and worsens when taking a deep breath, known as pleuritic pain. Additional symptoms such as headache, excessive sweating and clammy skin, loss of appetite, excessive fatigue, confusion, (especially in older people) may also occur.

The viruses and bacteria that cause pneumonia are contagious and are usually found in fluid from the mouth or nose of an infected person. Illness can spread when an infected person coughs or sneezes on a person, by sharing drinking glasses and eating utensils, and when a person touches the used tissues or handkerchiefs of an infected person.

There is a vaccine for pneumococcal pneumonia, a bacterial infection which accounts for up to a quarter of all pneumonias. Certain groups of people are considered to be at particularly high risk for the development of pneumonia, and the U. S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommend vaccination for these groups. Those recommended groups include:

People age 65 or older

People over age two years of age who have problems with their lungs, heart, liver, or kidneys

People over age two years of age with health problems like diabetes, sickle cell disease, alcoholism, or HIV/AIDS

Persons over two years of age who are taking any treatments that weaken the body's immune system

Alaskan natives and some Native American populations

The vaccination is also recommended for persons who have had their spleens removed. Unlike vaccination with the “flu shot,” the pneumococcal vaccine does not need to be given each year. One dosage of the vaccine is usually sufficient, but sometimes doctors recommend a second dose of the vaccine. People over age 65 who received the vaccine prior to age 65 are generally given a second dose along with people with certain serious medical conditions.

Preventing pneumonia is always better than treating it. The best preventive measures include washing hands frequently, not smoking, and wearing a mask when cleaning dusty or moldy areas.

Understanding the mind of the hunter

Contrary to popular belief, stalkers are not a problem relegated only to celebrities. Ordinary people can also end up having to deal with someone following their every move and observing their daily activities. The fact is, it isn't just fame and fortune that makes someone so obsessed with another person as to follow them around and literally center their perception of reality around another human being. Especially one that likely doesn't even acknowledge or is aware of their existence. Stalkers can be interpreted as having mental health problems, though they are similar to sociopaths, in the sense that there is no single, simple explanation that covers all forms of stalker behavior.

The mental health aspects of stalker behavior are rather interesting to note, particularly with regards to the psychoanalysis of it all. Stalker mentalities tend to follow a general pattern of development, as noted by several expert observers. After first contact with the object of obsession, the stalker tends to develop a sort of infatuation with the subject. This, in itself, is not entirely unusual, with the average human being developing such feelings throughout their lives. The second step, which involves overcoming natural anxiety and making contact with the subject, is also reasonably normal behavior. However, in the event that the person is rejected, the reaction can sometimes be cited as the critical point.

The delusion that forms afterwards is the core of the stalker's behavior. His supposed feelings for the subject are projected towards that person, making it seem as if the feeling are reciprocated. However, the delusion itself is, by nature, not entirely consistent with itself. The anger over the rejection is still present and serves as the catalyst for the more obsessive aspects of stalker behavior, which may eventually lead to the self-destruction of the stalker and the destruction of the object of obsession.

The narcissistic nature of the fantasy, of course, demands perfect consistency. This is speculated to be the driving force behind stalkers taking steps to make sure “competition” avoids the subjects of their obsession. The fantasy is damaged when the stalker's perception of the obsession proves to be inconsistent with the reality of it, such that measures are taken to force the consistency to exist. This explains why some stalkers are adept at developing rational explanations for behaviors in their targets that do not coincide with their perception. However, this rationalizing can only go so far. When pushed to a breaking point, usually by some perceived betrayal of his feelings, the stalker may answer with violence.

Statistically speaking, stalkers do not usually cause bodily harm. In fact, while most of them are adept at using threats of harm and violence, many do not actually carry out such threats. In the cases involving psychopaths and sociopaths, wherein the mental disorders are interlinked with the stalker's behavior, violence is more likely to occur. For the most part though, the real damage stalkers do to their victims lies in the non-physical forms. Emotional abuse and psychological trauma are hallmarks of being subjected to stalking, particularly if the problem has been persistent for an extended period.
