Telescope or telescope binoculars - what s the difference

The basic difference between binoculars and telescope binoculars is their intended use. A pair of field binoculars is generally used for magnifying a set object that is relatively close and within a certain field of vision. However, telescope binoculars are made specifically for stargazing and possess a much larger focal length than traditional binoculars.

Why Use Telescope Binoculars vs Telescope

The truth is that a person can see more of the night’s sky with a good pair of binoculars than an inexpensive telescope. And another thing, it can be easier to peer through telescope binoculars with both eyes open than through a telescope with one eye closed.

Viewing the stars and planets through a telescope for any length of time can certainly tire your eye muscles and actually cause focusing problems. As a matter of fact, there are more and more amateur astronomers looking into the benefits of telescope binoculars because of the ease of use. These stargazing binoculars can be mounted on a tripod for additional stability, and a better view of the cosmos.

How Telescope Binoculars Work

Firstly, these binoculars are designed specifically for stargazing and feature a wider aperture opening which allows more light to enter the lenses. This provides for a brighter field of view and the object being observed. The prisms on telescope binoculars are different in that they are better suited for astronomy. Their prisms actually absorb less light making the viewed object stand out and appear brighter. They are especially useful when viewing in low light conditions.

How to Select the Right Telescope Binoculars

There are a number of different kinds of binoculars on the market today that can be used for astronomy. But one thing to insist on is that your desired telescope binoculars have what is called a porro prism. This prism is geared for low light viewing and ideal for stargazing.

The more common prism utilized in binoculars is called a roof prism and is not conducive to good nighttime viewing. But technological advancements have allowed for the upgrading of optical and lens capabilities and improved viewing quality. Despite these upgrades, you will still benefit by using the porro prism binoculars. Their quality is better for astronomical uses and generally cost less.

Stabilize Your Telescope Binoculars for Better Stargazing

When selecting telescope binoculars, make sure they have the capability to be mounted on a stable object, preferably a tripod. When looking at smaller objects in the skies, any movement of your binoculars will result in a blurred or shaky image.

Whether you are stargazing with telescope binoculars or a standard telescope, a fixed placement will enhance your viewing experience. It is really worth the cost of purchasing a tripod and avoiding all the frustration that comes with constant re-focusing on your desired celestial body.

Telescope binoculars are an alternative to the traditional telescope and can increase your stargazing pleasure. If you prefer viewing the night skies with both eyes open, this is the perfect choice for you!

Tips for working with a web design agency

When a web design agency gets a job from a client that they have never dealt with before, they go through a very specific process in order to fully satisfy the client. If you are thinking about starting a web design agency and you want to offer your services, your main focus will be on gaining a solid reputation and maintaining it. So, follow the steps that hundreds of agencies have followed in the past in order to provide your clients with exactly what they expect and need.

The first important thing is to establish exactly what you will do and what you won’t do. When clients go to web design agencies, they usually expect to be presented with a fully functional web site. But many design agencies don’t offer coding services, and simply offer design. This has led to many conflicts in the past, and it is a good idea to make it clear what you are going to give them when you’re done working. It may even be a good idea to draw up a legal contract that you can use for all your clients, and change small details within.

After you’ve established what you can and can’t do, you’ll start to gather information about the project that they need done. Different objectives for the web site should change the design considerably, so make sure to ask them all the important questions before you get started. Around this time, you should also get a feel for how hands-on the client is (IE, whether they will want you to present them with options the entire time, or whether they want you to take charge of the whole thing).

Now you should have all of the information that you need to get started and build them a killer website. While you add every feature of the site, you’ll probably have several different ideas that can’t all fit together. One good approach is to create all of these ideas as mockups, and show them to the client before you do any more work. Have the client pick one to build on, and work from there. That way if they’re dissatisfied with the final product, it isn’t your fault, and they can’t ask you to rework the whole thing for free. Just make sure that you cover all your bases and act professional when dealing with clients, and you’ll have a successful design agency soon enough.

Efficient home theater setup

Just because you are looking for a home theater does not mean you have to spend a small fortune to get it. A home theater can still work for those of us on tight budgets that still want to make the most of our viewing pleasure. With more people being interested in television on a regular basis, a great home theater setup is a must in many homes.

Home theater surrounds can vary from home to home. In many parts of the country, the homes have the ever popular basement. If you remember back to when you were a kid, the basement was used for storing things like the Christmas tree and that old couch that no one has sat on in ten years. Make sure that the basement is suitable for a living area such as a home theater with its many electronic devices. If your basement tends to hold water in heavy rains, you may reconsider placing your 52" plasma screen television in those conditions. The basement can actually be one of the best places for a home theater. By placing the theater in the basement, you are able to utilize two or more walls that are already soundproofed because they are typically concrete walls with an earthen barrier on the opposite side. The only need for soundproofing will be in the ceiling and the fourth wall. By being able to skimp by only having to soundproof those two areas, you may be able splurge on a better home theater system.

Setting up your home theater to resemble the real theater can add to the experience of having a home theater. Start by adding the correct lighting to the room. Don't have big bulky overhead lighting, concentrate on rope lighting in the floors along with tiered seating and comfortable chairs for relaxing. Make sure that the seats that you choose are equipped with cup holders, or that there is a convenient place nearby each seat for each family member to place their popcorn and soda. Use dark, sound proofing drapes on the walls for sound absorption as well as appearance. All of these suggestions for dЋcor can really cost a ton of money. But you should be frugal when shopping for decor, after all, you want to spend the bulk of your money on the viewing and listening details of the theater, right? Here are some suggestions for decorating your home theater on a budget.

Flea markets are a great source for bargains. You may be able to find old movie posters, popcorn machines, fabrics for the walls, etc. Most towns have a regular flea market, but if you are willing to take some time for travel to other nearby towns, you will likely be able to find more options for your decor.

The internet has everything. Auction sites such as ebay sell everything you could ever need or want for your home theater. If you know what you are looking for, type it into a search engine and just sit back and look at all the results you find. Bargain sites and auction sites usually offer the best prices on these types of items, but check around before committing to anything.

Your local classified section is always a good place to start. Most towns and cities have classified sections of their newspaper where people are trying to get rid their old items or items that they just no longer need. You can usually find a great deal on many items by searching the classified section.

Shopping at outlet stores can be a great way to find bargains. The problem with shopping at the outlets is that many people binge shop at these type places and usually don't come home with what they went for.

In short, when you actually go to set up your home theater system, check the prices on items and try to be frugal. Home theaters do not have to be expensive as long as you understand how to set them up correctly.

Spyware - is somebody watching

These days most people who regularly use a computer online will be familiar with computer viruses and terms such as spyware and adware. Stories circulate about new viruses all the time and the crippling effect they may have on a network. Although these stories are sometimes blown out of proportion they do unfortunately accurately portray how potentially damaging computer viruses can be.

In addition to viruses over the past few years we have seen the emergence of other computer programs in the form of spyware and adware and these programs have the potential to be equally destructive. Adware on its own is usually undamaging, albeit frustrating. Are you being spammed with never ending or unsolicited advertising – chances are an adware program has installed itself on your pc unbeknown to you.

Spyware on the other hand is a much more shadowy program that poses a lot more threat. On initial investigation certain types of spyware seem like simple adware in that you will find that you are inundated with unsolicited advertising. However, beneath its surface spyware allows or enables monitoring and access to information within your computer. Additionally, certain types of spyware will cause further problems by altering your pc system configuration and thereby providing opportunity for an array of further system intrusions.

Fortunately, you can help prevent your system or pc becoming infected by viruses, spyware and adware and some of the most effective methods are as follows:

Check the security settings on your computer – I’m constantly surprised by the amount of people who are oblivious to security settings on their PC. Obviously, the method for checking these settings will differ depending on your operating system. However, in general you will usually access the security settings in internet options. Everybody has different requirements but a medium security setting is generally recommended for home users. Setting your security setting too high may block access to sites that you wish to access.

Firewalls – these days a firewall is a real necessity. A firewall is basically a security program that automatically blocks unidentified programs that try to remotely access your computer. Make sure you are familiar with your firewall settings and how to configure or amend the firewall parameters. This gives you the capability of filtering different program types and limiting accessibility so that data can only be received or sent from specified sources. The only downside of a firewall is that occasionally it may block information you try to retrieve even if the source is known and trusted by you. Again, becoming familiar with your firewall settings will lessen this problem.

There are numerous online companies offering an array of online programs that can be downloaded instantly and are particularly designed to target spyware. When shopping around for anti spyware programs choose one that has the capability of detecting and intercepting spyware on your computer as well as performing regular automatic scans of your system. It’s also important that your anti spyware program can detect spyware that may have installed itself prior to running your first system scan.

Finally, always ensure that the company who provides you with antivirus or spyware products includes an update service whereby you will automatically receive updates to tackle the latest virus or spyware that hackers are using.

Nokia cellular phone

In just a short period of time, communication has so drastically changed that many of us who are old enough to remember rotary phones could not be more amazed by the speed of transformation. The cell phone, more than anything, has completely changed the way in which we communicate, making it possible to be in touch with someone at the touch of a button – no matter where we are or what we’re doing. In fact, there are few among us who do not own a cell phone; most of us are completely dependent upon its services. And for many, dependence on their cell phone means a dependence on a Nokia cellular phone.

Established in 1865 as a paper manufacturer in Finland, the Nokia Corporation still operates its headquarters just outside of Helsinki. In the early days of Nokia, paper manufacturing soon gave way to an ever-growing expanse of services that would rocket the company to worldwide recognition. Most significant to the company’s growth was its entrance into electronics in the late 1960s. Following suit, was the company’s pioneering in mobile communication when it was still in its infancy. The company began producing portable phones as early as the mid 1980s and when the world’s first satellite call was made in 1994, it was done so on a Nokia cellular phone.

Today, Nokia is the largest manufacturer of cellular phones in the world and known the world over for its quality products and dependable service. Most notable to the company’s rise in popularity is the introduction of the Nokia 2100 series in 1994 which first featured the company’s signature ring tone – a ring tone that would become a lasting part of the Nokia cellular phone brand.

Over twenty million of the Nokia 2100 series have been sold, catapulting the company into cell phone history. The Nokia cellular phone line has continued to expand since this time and today Nokia features phones with a variety of top of the line capabilities including, camera phones, MP3 players, video recording, online access, gaming, and personal organization systems. It’s no wonder that the Nokia cellular phone continues to be one of the most popular cell phones on the market today – and promises to be well into the future.

Motorola v3i - martin s quick review

The Motorola V3i is an updated version of the tremendously popular Razr V3. The V3i keeps the same sleek and compact design the original Razr was so loved for, but this version is offered in a classy metallic graphite finish. While the color is the only change in the appearance of the V31, all the features of the Razr have been improved, although some changes are very subtle.

The caller ID screen on the outside is rather small, leaving the shiny casing to become easily smudged from fingerprints, but the V3i is an overall gorgeous phone. The clamshell design flips open easily to answer calls without touching a button, and snaps shut to end them. Users do have to remember to end their calls manually if they are using the speakerphone mode, however.

The buttons and switches around the exterior of the phone all fit smoothly into the design of the V3i and are very easy to use. The keypad is similar to that of the V3, with easy to distinguish keys and great responsiveness. Also like the original, the V3i is a quad band mobile phone, making it ideal for international usage.

The low resolution camera of the Razr V3 has been improved to a 1.2 megapixel camera that features an 8x digital zoom and is capable of video as well. The V3i’s camera is still very poor quality compared to other camera phones on the market, but it is great for occasional usage or for picture messaging.

Another greatly appreciated upgrade seen in the V3i is the addition of a music player. Though the version that includes iTunes software is not available in the UK, the V3i features an easy to use MP3 player that can be controlled through the phone’s exterior keys. Musical playback is available in flight mode and can be used with headsets or played through the phone’s speaker, which provides fairly good quality. The music player also allows users to create play lists for more convenience.

The internal memory features of the V3i are not very impressive, with only 12 MB of storage. MicroSD cards can be used to expand the memory and to store music for play lists, but the card slots are located under the battery cover, making them difficult to access. The 64 MB memory card included with the V3i can easily hold about 150 tunes, but anyone desiring more file storage will have to remove the battery cover.

Although the features of the Motorola V3i are rather outdated compared to other mobile phones, it is a great improvement over the original Razr. If you’re looking for a sleek and trendy clamshell Razr phone, but want the added convenience of a functional camera and MP3 player, the V3i is perfect.

The revolutionary cell phone

With the advent of the cell phone came a revolutionary way for us to communicate. No longer were we confined to homes to make or receive a phone call. Now, with a phone in our pocket, we were able to communicate on the go; the cell phone took our lifestyle into account and gave us the mobility we so desperately needed.

As with many modern inventions, no one really took notice of the cell phone until it was streamlined and affordable for the masses. But the cell phone really had its beginnings in the early 1970s, as researchers searched for a way to make the mobile car phone a more effective and efficient unit. At that time, they felt that by limiting the service area of the mobile phone to a small group of “cells” they could improve the effectiveness and clarity of the phone.

In effect, the cell phone sends out and receives broadcast airwaves and subsequently falls under the auspices of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). So it was not until AT&T and Bell Labs proposed the cell phone concept to the FCC in the late 1970s that things really began to progress; these two companies outlined the use of a system of small broadcast towers – each tower would be responsible for its own geographic location or “cell.” And as users traveled with their cell phone they would move from one cell to the next – their service never interrupted and their conversation always clear.

By the 1980s, the cell phone was being used by a small population of the public – although in its fundamental form. The technology was new, the phones heavy and inconvenient to carry, and the service and phone extremely expensive. It was not surprising, therefore, that not many people were impressed enough with the cell phone to pay the high prices.

But as technology advanced, and the cell phone came down in weight and price, more and more people took the streets with cell phone in hand. Today’s compact and streamlined cell phone offers a bevy of services – from phone and camera to calendar and music – and is a vital accessory for most everyone. Whether conducting business or communicating at a moment’s notice with friends and family – the cell phone has elevated communication to the next level.

Of course, this constant communication and advanced technology comes at a price; mainly of our time and privacy. When we’re available and on-call at all times, there allows no room for relaxation and downtime. The people who use the cell phone as a convenience without being tied to it are those who are able to maintain balance in their lives. Having a cell phone does not mean that you can’t turn it off now and then.

Ultimately, the cell phone was meant to offer convenience to the masses. What we do with that convenience is up to us. As the cell phone continues to evolve, it will surely bring with it a whole new world of communication – the likes of which we can only imagine.

Where would astronomy be without the hubble

The microscope and telescope are two of the most potent symbols of science. The most important factors in a telescope are the aperture, (or light gathering capability), and the quality and accuracy of their optics. The major design criteria for a new telescope are portability and low cost. What type of telescope are you interested in? Among the many kinds of telescope, the reflecting and refracting telescope are two of the most popular. And, aperture and quality in a telescope are worth much more than power any day. Be sure and spend some time looking around and talking to other star gazers to get some ideas of what would suit you. Most observers would be happy to advise you. For more information please go to yesastronomy. com.

Maybe something like a Hubble Space model would suit you? Maybe you can make a deal on a slightly used version? Well, maybe not, but here are some interesting facts about the Hubble.

The Hubble Space Telescope has dazzled us with its astonishing images and discoveries. The Hubble Space Telescope has taken about 750,000 images in is 16+ years in space. It was deployed on April 25, 1990, and is actually a giant observatory aboard a spacecraft. Astronomers using the Hubble Space Telescope are at the dawn of a new era in exploring the universe as it whirls around Earth at a speed of 5 miles per second.

Hubble's images are processed by the Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI). The Hubble Space Telescope (HST) was the first and flagship mission of NASA's Great Observatories program. It truly is a national asset. But, there have been issues: he Hubble Space Telescope was placed in orbit in April 1990 and in June that year scientists discovered a problem with its primary mirror. That problem was soon fixed but Hubble has had numerous problems throughout its life.

But the Hubble Space Telescope, which opened Earth's eyes to an awe-inspiring universe of star births and colliding galaxies, is far from being in the junk pile. In fact, it has gotten several extensions on its warranty. NASA has sent various missions to the Telescope to conduct repairs and upgrades. And, future improvements to the Hubble Space Telescope are in the works.

Although the Hubble Space Telescope has been operating continuously since 1990, there are plans in the works to replace it. It has given astronomers and amateurs alike a multitude of thrills in its life, and more are on the way. But, like all good things, it's life will end. But fear not...something better is on the way.

We hope sooner rather than later.

Pros and cons of electric rc helicopter

Before you buy an electric rc helicopter, there are things you need to know.

Here are the pros and cons of electric rc helicopter

Pros

Electric RC helicopter is one of the more favorable kinds of rc helicopters out there in the market for several reasons:

·It is easy to fly

If you are beginning to take interest on rc helicopters, then the best way to a good start is to buy an electric rc helicopter. It is easy to fly since it only requires batteries for power. You don’t have to deal with engines and engine malfunction. You also don’t have to buy gas to make it fly. With electric rc helicopters, you don’t have to have knowledge about how engines work. You don’t need to tinker complicated moving parts since there is none. All you need to know is where the controls and your rc is flying in no time.

·It is quiet

Other rc helicopters, especially the gas powered, create a lot of noise. And this is often times annoying not only to you but also on your neighbor who wants to get some quiet moment alone. Thus, you cannot fly them around your neighborhood. The good thing about electric rc helicopter is that it creates no noise at all. Without an engine, your rc will fly silently anywhere you want it to fly without disturbing the peace.

·It is safe

Batteries are generally safe to use. This also goes with electric rc helicopter. All you have to do is to recharge it when it is empty and it will be off again in the air. You don’t have to deal with flammables and you don’t have to deal with engine at all.

Cons

Just like any other products, electric rc helicopter has its drawbacks. Here are those:

·The experience is less exciting

Full-size helicopters have engines and no helicopter is powered by electric current. So you cannot get a helicopter-like experience if wit electric rc helicopter. The engine noise adds up to the experience. Without it, it may be boring.

·Activity is limited

With electric rc helicopter, all you have to do is charge, fly, re-charge, fly, re-charge again, and fly again. Until you get to hate it. Like what was said earlier, you are limited to flying. Aside to that, no more.

Other RC like gas rc helicopter is more than flying, you get to tinker with the engine and in the process, get more excited every time you fly.
