Why cabin vacations are becoming a popular get-a-way

Do you want to take your family on a fun vacation, but are limited by factors such as cost and convenience? The perfect answer may lie in renting a cabin for your family getaway!

Let’s face it, going on vacation with your family is not cheap. If you are planning on staying in hotels, you have to worry about the price of the room, the lack of privacy, and the hassle and additional costs of going out for meals at restaurants, which increases both the cost and stress of your vacation. A family of five might even have to purchase two hotel rooms for one night’s stay.

Camping can also be quite stressful for a family on vacation. Tents and RVs allow for no privacy, and can get really hot in the morning sun. It is no wonder that cabin vacations are becoming the number one choice for families going out on their vacations!

Owners of cabins along lakefronts and ocean sides, and even at ski resorts, have begun to realize that the perfect way to keep their cabins maintained and safe during the frequent times they are not using them is providing them for rental to families who would like to vacation at a certain location but cannot afford the price or inconvenience of a hotel room, and who also find the idea of an outdoor camping experience strenuous.

Families can take a cabin vacation for less than they would spend in hotels, with all the comforts of home that cannot be found in a tent or an RV. Cabins that have been made available for rental usually include multiple bedrooms with soft beds, a full kitchen, plumbing, heating, electricity, and often cable or satellite television. In other words, cabin vacations offer all the comforts of home at your favorite vacation destination, for much cheaper and with less stress than can be offered either by staying in a hotel or by camping.

Meals can be planned and implemented with ease, and if you forgot to pack enough food there is almost always a grocery store within a short distance. Often, there will be stores that specialize in a specific food you might want to eat on your vacation - ocean cabins, for example, are quite often located in close proximity to stores selling fresh seafood. A family who chooses a cabin vacation will save money over a hotel experience not just in rental costs but in the pricy restaurant costs as well!

Cabin vacations are becoming so popular among families that in many resort areas, hotels are becoming obsolete as owners of cabins rent them out to eager vacationers. The cost effective vacation and the insurance that the cabin is occupied provide a mutual benefit to all parties concerned.

You can buy winstrol online

The anabolic steroid ‘stanozolol’ is marketed under the brand name winstrol. Winstrol is one of the widely know steroids in the world. It is really an interesting alternative of dihydrotestosterone. The winner, Shawn Ray, and Canadian pro, Nimrod King were tested positive for Stanozolol during the IFFB’s (International Federation of BodyBuilders) short-term drug screening effort at the 1990 Arnold Classic, an annual bodybuilding competition, named after Arnold Schwarzenegger.

How to clean jewelry

Caring for and cleaning jewelry doesn’t have to be difficult, but it is important that you do so carefully to prevent damage and possibly help to ensure a longer life. Well cared for jewelry will stand the test of time and have a much nicer appearance than jewelry that is generally left to collect dust and grime without being cleaned. The exact technique you use to clean and care for your jewelry will depend on the item itself.

Regardless of the type of jewelry you should obviously try to prevent it from being scratched, knocked or banged. Even if damage doesn’t appear visible immediately, knocking jewelry can often lead to unseen damage. Over time this damage will build up or progressively worsen until your jewelry becomes irreparable.

Should your jewelry suffer any damage you should have it seen to as soon as possible. Take it your local jewelers and ask their opinion. In most cases they will either be able to fix it themselves or send it away to be repaired properly. Super gluing any piece of jewelry yourself is a bad idea.

Many chemicals can damage jewelry and you should stay away from chemicals in general. In particular, cleaning fluids, chlorine and bromine can have a detrimental effect on some jewelry. Take off any rings or other items and leave them somewhere safe until you’re finished. Direct sunlight and extreme hot or cold conditions can also weaken the metal or jewel.

Use a jewelry cleaning cloth on metal jewelry and clean regularly using soapy water but ensure that you rinse it off thoroughly when you’ve finished cleaning. Use a very mild cloth to dab it dry and don’t rub it too vigorously. You should also take care when storing jewelry. If you don’t intend to wear it or show it for some time then place it in an airtight bag away from heating or particularly cold areas. These simple maintenance tips should ensure the integrity of your jewelry for many years.

Advice about bankruptcy

Deciding to file for bankruptcy is never an easy choice to make. You must first weigh the pros and cons, and determine what type of bankruptcy you can file.

There are two major ways to file bankruptcy and you should know that it is not an easy process. You can do it on your own if you understand the laws and the two different types of bankruptcy you can file. First there is chapter 7; chapter 7 bankruptcy is the conversion of assets into money. This allows you to payoff debts quickly. With chapter 7 bankruptcy you sell your assets to pay your creditors and within a few months you have charge offs on your credit. Chapter 13 is the next method used to file bankruptcy in the United States. Chapter 13 is the repayment plan with little or no interest. This means that you file chapter 13 with the courts, then all of your debts are compiled and you are set up on a repayment of those debts to take place each month until it is paid off. This is the advised way to go if you have a steady job but just cannot make all your monthly payments.

When considering both of these options you may be overwhelmed by what is best for you and your situation. The best advice is to seek out legal council that can assist you in determining which type of bankruptcy you should file as well as help you with filing the papers with the courts.

When it comes to choosing an attorney to represent you in your bankruptcy case you want to ask some important questions to aid you in your decision. Do not consider fees and payment prices alone, as you should focus on other factors that are just as important if not more important.

Important Questions To Ask

Ask each attorney you speak with how long they have been in practice and what level is their experience as an attorney. Ask for the attorney’s qualifications and what areas they specialize in. Asking about fees and payments is also needed for your choice in choosing your bankruptcy attorney. Also ask yourself some questions. Questions such as does the attorney seem competent? Is his office staff organized and punctual? If you are able ask some questions about the attorneys client relationships. Law does prohibit an attorney from speaking about clients unless he has been given the permission from the client. These questions can allow you to make a solid choice on who will represent you.

Comfort And Confidence

When meeting with your attorney does he or she seem to be considerate of your concerns? Do you feel comfortable speaking to your attorney about all aspects of your bankruptcy decision? Do you personally feel confident that your attorney will be able to perform all his or her duties in your bankruptcy case? If you feel discomfort of any kind you may want to continue reviewing possible attorneys for your case. You have to feel safe enough to put your financial concerns in the hands of your attorney. This will allow the process of bankruptcy to be much less uncomfortable and to proceed much more fluidly for a positive experience.

Crm-on-demand 7 advantages for small business

Customer Relationship Management software can offer many advantages for all-sized-business. However, small business has usually different needs and budgets than larger corporations. I want to highlight that CRM-on-demand is particularly suitable for small business.

Specifically, I see seven advantages of a web-based-CRM for small business:

1. Web-based-CRM, or CRM-on-demand, is a fraction of the cost of self-hosted Customer Relationship Management software for small business as price is predominantly determined by the number of modules and users selected. There are no additional computers to be purchased nor is there an internal IT team to be hired to manage its programs and new servers.

While support is usually paid for, open-source web-based-CRM software is often provided for free, while other Customer Relationship Management software providers give a single-user solution for free. Both ways, it is affordable by small business, at least as an introduction.

2. Introducing a CRM-program may in many cases be the very first step that a small business will take towards customers management. This means that a wide array of new marketing and sales opportunities will now spontaneously look small business owners in the face. These opportunities are not new. They were always there, but this system makes them apparent. Great opportunities may appear in the market place but they are also to be found in small business' own internal administrative processes. There is potential to make significant time and cost savings by streamlining and automating processes.

3. Online access to your Customer Relationship Management system from any location when needed helps small business to facilitates its sales & marketing processes in terms of accuracy, speed, and effectiveness. This on-the-road accessibility supports sales record keeping, lead generation and sales conversion. It could not be more convenient. The platform also enables you to personalize your marketing, sales and service communications with clients. In addition, small business can use the system for marketing campaign management and long-range marketing planning.

4. Small business can leverage the superior data security of its web-based-CRM provider. Securing sensitive customer and business data with proper encryption and through a computer set-up that avoids hack attacks is now managed by a professional IT organization.

5. For computer-savvy small business, CRM offers the chance to finally realize interaction between the various customer-related data sources that were previously spread over different computer software and hardware.

6. Web-based CRM is easy to use, not just for small business, for anyone. It is simple to select the Customer Relationship Management modules that are most suitable for your type and size of business. There are even specialized software providers who offer industry-specific solutions.

7. Access to customer relationship software allows smaller business to better compete in the market, even with companies that have a wider equity base and more disposable resources for marketing.

When working through these advantages with the various vendors, you're ready to make your decision to plan, pilot and roll-out your new web based CRM or CRM On-demand.

I trust this approach results in a cost-effective and fast decision making process for you and your organization.

I didn t buy that

Have you ever opened your credit card statement only to find a charge for a purchase that you did not make? It does not happen very often but it happens and you need to know what to do. The first thing that I recommend is that you do is call the merchant if the number for the merchant is not listed on the statement call your credit card company they will give the contact number for the merchant. As a merchant that sells coat racks online we receive calls from time to time from people questioning a charge from us they ask “What do you sell” when we respond coat racks they in veritably say oh that’s right and that is the end of the problem.

If you can not get a good answer from the merchant call your credit card company and explain the situation all credit card purchases are covered by the Federal Truth in Lending Act and are covered under the Fair Credit Card Purchasing Act or commonly known as the Consumer Protection Act. This is handled by the FDIC you can get more detailed information from their web site at fdic. gov. Credit card disputes are supposed to be resolved within 90 days after you call your credit card company send them a registered letter explaining the same thing you went over on the phone send copies of any supporting documents. It is a good idea if possible to go ahead and pay the disputed amount rather than to carrie it over non payment can cause higher interest rates and incur late charges that may not be taken off when the charges are removed. When the charges are reversed a credit will show up on your card in the next month so you will get it back with out receiving any extra charges.

If your credit card company decides that you are still responsible this will require a copy of your purchase receipt and a copy of your signature. If the merchant has a copy of your receipt with your signature. It can be a tough road to get your money back but if the merchant does not have your signature or the signature does not match then usually the credit card company will reverse the charges.

You are allowed to get a copy of your credit report once a year for free, it is a god idea to take advantage of this and actually set a date every year and request a copy on that date. Your credit report can possibly show you any fraudulent activity. Many ID thefts are done so to get a new credit card issued to the thief with their signature and address. The request for a new credit card will show up on your credit report if you see any new cards or loans issued in your name that you did not in fact open contact the lender who issued the loan and get it cancelled and any charges taken care of.

Weight loss psychology - tips for easier dieting

:
Introduction

Losing weight is 100 times easier if you are mentally prepared for it. This may sound elementary, but in my experience most dieters quit their weight loss plan not because they feel hungry or have difficulty with the menus, but because of psychological reasons. Either, they become bored, or dissatisfied with their rate of weight loss, or suffer a momentary lapse and become overwhelmed by guilt, or feel too "deprived" to continue. And then, in an attempt to explain their failure, many of them blame their diet-plan, their domestic situation, or their congenital inability to lose weight. This process often repeats itself, as a result, some dieters can spend years unsuccessfully trying to lose weight, without ever realizing the true cause of their difficulty. Here are three common psychological problems we encounter when trying to reduce weight, along with some tips for how to overcome them.

Problem 1. Not Knowing How Weight Loss Will Benefit You

Whether we want to lose 20 or 220 pounds, we need to change our eating habits and perhaps several other lifestyle habits as well. Making these changes may not be difficult on Day 1 or Week 1 of our weight loss diet, because our initial enthusiasm usually gives us sufficient motivation. But, typically within 2-3 weeks, our "new" eating pattern starts to interfere with our regular lifestyle and, unless we are prepared for this, our desire to continue dieting will start to fade. Instead of seeing our diet as a passport to a better weight and shape, we see it as an obstacle and a burden. It becomes something we are doing because we "must" rather than because we "want to". This is the first big emotional problem we encounter when dieting.

To overcome this problem, we need to know exactly why we are trying to lose weight. We need a clear idea of how it will benefit us. Because only if we have a clear benefit to look forward to, will we be able to resist the temptation to revert to our previous bad habits. General benefits from having a leaner, lighter shape aren't powerful enough. We need a selfish, specific benefit - something we can visualize - that commands our attention. Maybe a beach holiday, or a dream outfit to wear for a specific occasion, or a new shape to show off at Thanksgiving. Whatever we choose, it must make a noise inside our head! Remember, the moment we start to feel that we "have to" do something, it becomes the enemy - like paying taxes, or cleaning out the basement - and our motivation flies out the window. In order to achieve lasting weight loss, we need to "want it".

Problem 2. Trying To Be Perfect

During my 24 years or so as a weight loss consultant and nutritionist, I've met perhaps 10,000 dieters in person, and communicated personally with another 100,000 over the Internet. But so far I haven't met one single successful dieter who was perfect. On the contrary, most of my successful clients made tons of mistakes. They had bad days, bad weeks - even whole months - during which they went completely off the rails. But none of this stopped them from succeeding in the end. Why not? Because they learned from their mistakes. And let's not forget: most of our self-knowledge comes from the mistakes we make, not our successes.

Unfortunately, many dieters insist on trying to be perfect. As a result, when they do fall off the wagon (as they always do), they find it impossible to tolerate their "failure", and become overwhelmed by guilt. So even though their lapse might have been relatively trivial (a weekend binge), they go to pieces. Because, as usual, it's the guilt that does the real damage, not the bingeing.

The lesson is this. When dieting, don't waste time trying to be perfect. It only leads to increased guilt and failure. Instead, accept that you are going to make mistakes, and don't let them distract you when they happen. See them as a learning experience. For example, if you drink too much alcohol when dining out, and massively overeat as a result, don't wake up the next morning in a fit of depression. Instead, savor your experience, and appreciate that you have made an important discovery: that too much alcohol makes weight loss more difficult. By reacting like this, you will avoid guilt and find it much easier to return to your diet.

Problem 3. Treating Your Diet As Race

Another common problem concerns speed of weight reduction. Many dieters expect to lose weight very fast, and are psychologically unprepared when their body refuses to behave in this fashion. If a week passes without any weight reduction, they become dispirited and start to lose interest. Unfortunately, like it or not, the human body is designed for survival not "appearance". Therefore it has no interest in shedding body fat, which it sees as an important source of energy during times of famine. As a result, the maximum amount of fat we can lose in a week is about 3 pounds, while someone who is less than 30 pounds overweight may lose about 1 pound. Anything extra is likely to be a combination of water and muscle weight.

To overcome your impatience and maintain steady weight loss, stop thinking of your diet as a race. Instead, see it as a journey. This reduces anxiety and gives you more "breathing space" to settle into your new eating habits. I explain this in more detail on my wonderful weight loss forum, and most people find it a very beneficial approach. At the same time, avoid jumping on your bathroom scales every day - limit yourself to once a week. Checking your weight more often only encourages you to take a short-term view of things, which is not helpful.

I realize that "steady" weight loss may not sound terribly attractive, but in my experience the slower the weight loss, the longer it stays off. Furthermore, as stated above, if you lose more than 3 pounds a week it won't be fat - it will be muscle or water. And while losing water is only temporary - and thus pointless - losing muscle will slow your metabolism and increase the risk of future weight gain.

So when you start your next diet journey, just remember: there's no rush. Set yourself a realistic weight loss goal and let Nature take its course. For example, if you weigh 200 pounds and are aiming for 150 pounds, allow yourself 6 months to reach your destination. And if it takes a little longer, so what? I mean, what do you lose?

These three psychological problems account for a huge number of diet failures. Mastering them will definitely enhance your chances of losing weight. So before you embark with all your customary enthusiasm on yet another "new" diet, set aside some time to think through these issues and then watch the pounds disappear!

Explore norfolk as part of your great yarmouth holiday

Norfolk is one of the UK’s leading holiday destinations, with an excellent array of places to visit and things to do and see, welcoming visitors of all ages.

For holidaymakers staying in Great Yarmouth, the resort is well positioned to explore some of best bits of the county, including the stunning Norfolk Broads, the unspoilt beaches and the many, varied attractions.

If you’re holidaying with small children Norfolk has a good selection of places to visit that are both fun and educational. The attractions range from searching for dinosaurs through woodland to learning about Shire horses, along with play barns and animal farms for really young children.

For older children and teenagers Norfolk also has something to offer with a good range of activities, such as adrenaline fuelled rides at amusement parks, shopping, cinemas and mountain biking. Yet, if it rains during your visit then the county is fully prepared for the unpredictable British weather too with good indoor attractions including the Sealife Centre in Great Yarmouth, and great family activities such as swimming and bowling.

Alongside the attractions and outdoor adventure activities the county has a wealth of museums and historic houses that bring the area’s history to life. Nestled in the beautiful countryside, majestic stately homes and parkland, including picturesque Somerleyton Hall and Blickling Hall, owned by the National Trust, are waiting to be discovered. The historical seaside towns of Great Yarmouth and Cromer also have a great range of museums that document Norfolk’s maritime history.

Make the most of today and the past with a day out in the historic city of Norwich. For shopping, sightseeing or just simply exploring, the city is just 20 miles from Great Yarmouth and is definitely worth a visit. Now one of the top ten places to shop in the UK with not one but two shopping centres, plus a Norman Cathedral and impressive castle, museums, art galleries, and much more, there’s plenty for everyone to do whatever their passion or interest.

Out of the town and into the countryside, there are numerous ways to explore Norfolk with the county having some fantastic steam railways, cycle routes and walks. The best of these include the North Norfolk Railway, based on the coast in Sheringham, and the Peddars Way and Coast Path that are part of the National Trails network. And of course with the Norfolk Broads, there are opportunities to take to the water either on a cruise or by hiring a boat.

Not surprisingly the varying habitats in Norfolk are a haven for nature and birds of all sorts, so birdwatchers and nature lovers should definitely bring their binoculars. The long stretch of Norfolk coastline is home to some of the most protected habitats in the UK, with fragile ecosystems such as heathland, salt marshes and tidal wetland. An internationally recognised stretch of coastline, it is home to some of the UK’s most important bird reserves, including the RSPB site at Titchwell, which gets over 100,000 visitors a year. Further down the coast it is possible to either walk, a good 4 miles over shingle, or catch a boat from the village of Morston, to see the seal colony at the end of Blakeney Point.

So whatever you want from your holiday Norfolk has a great range of attractions to offer to all age groups and audiences – with Great Yarmouth providing an ideal base from which to explore.

Fishing in and around cairns an angle for everyone

The Northern Queensland Coast is one roller-coaster ride of fabulous weather, romantic beaches, delicious food and adventure activities. The ocean forms the focal point of life in coastal Queensland, and hides many charms.

With such a love of water, it is not surprising that fishing forms a popular pastime and passion for many in land awash with water – inland as well as coastal – whether it is calm water estuarine fishing, calm water river fishing, fly fishing, light tackle sports fishing, reef fishing, heavy tackle game fishing, or beaches and headland fishing.

The area forms a paradise for all line lovers – the world’s largest ocean, the world’s largest living organism in the form of Great Barrier Reef, large freshwater rivers passing through undisturbed rainforests, large estuaries, isolated and undisturbed lakes, lagoons, bays and inlets with wharfs….everything you could imagine or want. And the range of fish available brings a delight to the gastronomically inclined as well.

The wonderful climate of Cairns ensures that the fishing season lasts throughout the year. The dozens of popular species have their peak periods during different months. For example, in the game fishing circles, while Black Marlin is mainly found from September to December, Blue Marlin is available from December to March. Before getting down to fishing proper it is very essential to know what it is that you want to do.

Fishing can be a frustratingly unrewarding experience at times, and different types of fish require different styles and different tackle. Not all are trained for or are capable of big game fishing, although there are enough opportunities here for the widest ranges of experience, or lack thereof!

Those who are fond of calm water estuary fishing can look forward to catching archer fish, barracuda, barramundi, batfish, catfish, dart, estuarine cod, flathead, salmon, tarpon or queenfish. Calm water river fishing can bring the prized barramundi, jungle perch, Saratoga or Black Bream.

Light tackle sports, suitable for most enthusiasts, can bring prized catch of barracuda, black marlin, blue marlin, sailfish, Spanish and spotted mackerel and yellowfin tuna. Those who want to get a real taste of the reef might love the eternal favorite barracuda, cod, coral trout, nannygai, red emperor and turrum.

For the real sportspeople, big fish await. You can chase the blue and black marlin, the mackerel tuna, northern bluefin tuna, striped marlin or the yellowfin tuna. As you can imagine, there are hundreds of varieties of fish occupying the ocean, and waterways in mainland Cairns.

Just cast line - you may well find something pulling at the other end.

Of course, there are numerous places where you can cast your net. Head north to the mighty Daintree river that gushes out in torrents during the rainy season. It provices plenty of freshwater, vast tidal zones and mangrove ecosystems.

So, in this wondrous region, you get your catch of both freshwater and marine fishes.

Head to Port Douglas for more exciting locations. The Anzac park is popular as a family fishing point, along with the countless jetties and wharfs jutting into the tranquil waters. The Captain Cook Highway, one of the most charming routes in the world, hosts a myriad of fishing locations. Apart from that you could go to Yorkeys Knob, Barron River, Trinity Inlet, Kings Point, Lake Tinaroo, Russell-Mulgrave, Mission beach, Cooktown, Seisia and Princess Charlotte Bay.

Fact is, the Cairns area is full of fishing possibilities. Anglers come here to get mesmerized, and they seldom leave disappointed.

Business banking explained

No matter where you are within your business, just beginning or have been in business for many years, one thing remains the same; your business needs a banking institution that is solid and great for businesses. Within this article, we will look at some of the main items you should consider when looking for a bank account for your business. There are many things you should think about when opening a new bank account for your business, each one of them should work to benefit your company in all ways necessary.

For starters you should look at some of the basics, first consider what type of company you are, limited or sole trader. For a limited business, you will be required to obtain a business bank account, while a sole trader has the ability to use their personal bank accounts for any activity within their business. For those who insist or are required to have a business bank account, you should consider a institution that has a team in place specifically for businesses.

Consider any fee’s that are associated with the bank account for example, overdraft fees or transaction feeds. Also, consider if the bank offers a period of time that is fee free for new accounts, if they offer this it is wise to take advantage of this offer. You should also look at any incentive offers that the bank gives you, for example, charge cards, free statements, or credit cards. Always check the interest rates offered on these account and consider if the chosen bank has internet banking, this is important because it allows you to have up to the minute information regarding various aspects of your account. Businesses will benefit from internet banking because it allows you to do your banking at your convenience, which we know that many busy business owners frequently do not have the time to visit the bank.

When you have finally sorted out the proper banking institution for your business it is time to open your account. There are many things you will have to bring to the bank when you go, this documentation could include your business plan or other various details in regard to your business. Additionally, you will have to take along your incorporation certificate, any items necessary to prove your identity (Photo ID, utility bills, and perhaps your passport), and a list of those who are authorized to sign any company checks.

Whether your sport may be cycling, climbing, hunting, or mountain trekking, there is one thing you must do at all times, and that’s keeping your body full of necessary fluids so you don’t experience any sudden dehydration. Prior to the hydration bag, you had to find a place to carry a water bottle, and I can’t imagine anyone carrying a bulky canteen that you only see in old western and war movies!

The fact that many athletes bring with them some sort of backpack or waist pack, would only make sense that the next option would be a combination of pack and water system. The backpacks that contain a reservoir with a convenient flow tube for the easy stream of water is the best logical way to access fresh cool liquid without having to dig around for the bottle, and when you finally find it, the water’s warm and tastes horrible.

Hydration Systems Quench Your Thirst With Convenience and Comfort!

The features and benefits in a hydration pack system are plentiful, and you can find the right hydration product that can fit anyone’s activity level. Many of the bag manufacturers are listening to your athletic needs, and with athletes and outdoor enthusiasts providing the necessary feedback, hydration backpacks and waistpacks are being developed in many tailored models and unique styles.

Many of the bags are specially designed to contour the shape of your body, and they have extra padded straps for comfort, and additional sternum straps for the safety of your lower back as well.

The packs come in all sizes and functions, and depending on the level of your activity, you can easily find a pack system with the internal water bladder system that can carry from 30 to well over 100 ounces of water. The construction includes many details such as insulated hoses for prevention of freezing in the winter, and other uniquely designed components that allow your fresh water stay cool for hours during hot summer days!

Having a drinking system that can adapt to your sport or activity is important, and when you can enjoy every hour you spend outdoors, without having to worry where to find your next source of H2O is the reason these hydration pack systems were created in the first place. Runners can take advantage of the waist pack system, where you actually sip on your water through the extended valve tube, so while you’re running you don’t have to fumble for a water bottle, which can easily take your attention away from the path or road, and avoid any injury.

Whether you’re taking your activity to the backcountry, or you decide to be part of a city biking excursion, having the right hydration gear will allow you to enjoy every minute without having to worry about finding quality drinking water. Having a source of necessary fluids is the key to keeping your body fully hydrated, and when your body’s hydration level is at its peak, you will be pleased that you made the decision to obtain a quality drinking system.

Can you draw a perfect hexagon

It may not sound like a difficult task, but constructing hexagons and other polygons can be a frustrating and daunting task for children and adults. A sketch of a square is fairly simple to make as the corners are familiar right angles that most people have no trouble creating. Every other regular polygon from equilateral triangles to dodecagons and beyond can be a challenge without a highly developed ability to recognize and construct a variety of angles. Thankfully, there is a slick technique for constructing all sorts of regular polygons based on the fact that all regular polygons fit neatly inside of a circle.

For the uninitiated, a regular polygon is a closed figure with equal length sides and equal angles. A pentagon with three centimetre sides and 108 degree angles is a regular pentagon. Regular polygons are the figures that are most commonly used to represent each family of polygons.

To experience the most success with this method, it is recommended that you use a full circle protractor. A half circle protractor will work just fine except the procedure changes slightly. The basic procedure for the full circle protractor is to place the protractor on a piece of paper, make a bunch of dots, and join the dots. The trick is dividing the 360 degrees of the circle by the number of vertices in the regular polygon, and making dots at the resulting interval. In a hexagon, for example, there are six vertices, so divide 360 degrees by six to get sixty degrees. Starting at zero degrees, make a mark every sixty degrees around the full circle protractor; there will be dots at 0, 60, 120, 180, 240, and 300 degrees. Join the dots, and voila; you have a perfect regular hexagon. With a half circle protractor, it is necessary to establish a center point first, so when you rotate the protractor to complete the dots on the other side, it can be lined up properly with the zero point and the center point.

The really nice thing about using a 360 degree circle to construct regular polygons is that it works for all of the regular polygons that one would encounter in an elementary or primary school. This is because 360 is divisible by 24 different numbers including 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, and 12. To construct an equilateral triangle, for example, first divide 360 by three to get 120. Make dots at 0, 120, and 240, join the dots, and enjoy a perfectly drawn equilateral triangle. Squares are constructed by marking dots at 90 degree intervals, pentagons at 72 degree intervals, octagons at 45 degree intervals, nonagons at 40 degree intervals, decagons at 36 degree intervals, and dodecagons at 30 degree intervals. "But what about a heptagon?" you may ask. Even numbers that don't divide evenly into 360 can be approximated using this method. For example, a heptagon (seven sided polygon) can be approximated quite well using 51 degree intervals. It will be hard to tell with the naked eye that you were one or two degrees off.

One limitation of this method is that there is only one size of circle available, so all of the polygons come out quite large. With a little ingenuity, this limitation can be overcome. One simple solution is to cut out a circle of paper and place it on top of the round protractor. Any paper circle smaller than the round protractor can be used. Make the dots around the edge of the paper circle lining them up with the scale on the protractor. The paper circle becomes an intermediate protractor that can be used just as the regular protractor, but it will make a smaller polygon.

Another limitation is that your students might not be at the point where they can divide or find multiples of large numbers. In this case, you could tell your students at which numbers to make the dots, or create paper protractors with just the intervals marked on them for each polygon.

This is the quickest and most efficient method I have seen for constructing regular polygons. It takes little time to teach and little time to learn, and it makes the construction of regular polygons a simple and painless activity for students. And if you need a bit of a challenge, try the 180 sided polygon with two degree intervals. I'll bet you never guessed you could make one of those so easily!

Managing a panic attack while your at your job or business

At times, our worries and anxieties can overwhelm us at our place of work or business. Here is a brief list of techniques that a person can use to help manage their anxious moments at their job or business environment.

When feeling anxious, stop what you are doing and try to do something that will relax you. A person should take a deep breath and try to find something to do for a few minutes to get their mind off of the problem. A person could get some fresh air, listen to some music, or do an activity that will give them a fresh perspective on things.

Remember that our fearful thoughts are exaggerated and can make the problem worse. A good way to manage your worry is to challenge your negative thinking with positive statements and realistic thinking. When encountering thoughts that make your fearful or anxious, challenge those thoughts by asking yourself questions that will maintain objectivity and common sense.

When overwhelmed with worry, a person may encounter a lot of scary thoughts coming at them all at once. Instead of getting upset, remember that these thoughts are exaggerated and are not based on reality. From my interviews with various professionals, I’ve learned that usually it is the fear behind the thoughts that gets us worked up. Ignore the fear behind these thoughts, and your worry should decrease.

Remember that all the worrying in the world will not change anything. I realized that most of what we worry about never comes true. Instead of worrying about something that probably won’t happen, concentrate on what you are able to do. Everything else you can leave in the hands of God.

As a Layman, I realize it is not easy to deal with all of our fears. When your fears and anxieties have the best of you, try to calm down and then get the facts of the situation. The key is to take it slow. All you can do is to do your best each day, hope for the best, and when something does happen, take it in stride. Take things one step at a time, and things will work out.

Wedding etiquette - your most common wedding etiquette dilemmas solved

As one of the biggest and most potentially stressful events of your life, getting engaged and subsequently planning a wedding brings with it an onslaught of questions. As times change and weddings evolve, traditional rules of etiquette have followed suit, only adding to the confusion.

To gain perspective, first understand that "etiquette" is above all about treating people with courtesy and making them feel comfortable. When an etiquette question arises, consider the feelings of those who will be affected. To steer you through the fog of questions, I've compiled a quick look at the top five most common wedding etiquette dilemmas: Family Etiquette, Invitation Etiquette, Gift Etiquette, Attire Etiquette and The Cash Bar Issue.

Family Etiquette:

Introducing Your Parents - If the bride and groom's parents have not met prior to the engagement, tradition dictates that the groom's family calls and introduces themselves to the bride's family and arranges a meeting. If the groom's parents do not make the first introduction, then the bride's parents should. Nowadays, who makes the first call is irrelevant; all that really matters is that the parents meet. If meeting face to face is impossible, a letter or phone call will suffice.

Introducing Divorced Parents - If the groom's parents are divorced, the parent with the closest relationship to the groom should take the first step in meeting the bride's parents. If both sets are divorced, the parent closest to the groom should first contact the bride's suggested parent. If no one begins the introduction process, the couple should step in and ensure that everyone meets, while refraining from forcing potentially awkward situations.

Your In-Laws - The groom's parents often feel left out of the planning process. To avoid this, invite your future in-laws into the initial dialogue. You should immediately inform them of your ideas regarding location, date, size and style of the wedding. Take queues on their desired level of involvement and include them accordingly. Let them make offers to pitch in with finances or planning. Above all, keep them informed throughout your engagement.

Invitation Etiquette:

Inviting partners and guests - If an invited guest is married, engaged or living with a significant other, that partner must be included in the invitation. A single invitation addressed to both individuals should be sent to spouses or couples who live together, while separate invitations should be sent to each member of an engaged or long term couple who don't live together. Inviting single guests with a date is a thoughtful gesture, but one that is not required. If you are inviting a single guest with a date, try to find out the name of your friend's intended date and include that person's name on the invitation. Otherwise, inner envelopes may include "And Guest," indicating that he or she may bring any chosen escort or friend.

Guests Who Ask to Bring a Guest - Your guests should know better! It is never appropriate for a guest to ask to bring a date, and you have every right to politely say no. However, if you discover that a guest is engaged or living with a significant other, you should extend a written or verbal invitation.

Invitations to out-of-town guests - Many brides ponder whether or not it's appropriate to invite long distance guests for whom it may be impossible to attend. Use your best judgment. Is this person truly a close friend who would want to attend your celebration? If so, failing to extend an invitation may be insulting. Remember, these days friends and family are often spread all over the country, and people are accustomed to traveling. On the other hand, if you haven't spoken in years, an invitation may look like no more than a request for a gift. In those cases, send a wedding announcement instead, which carries no gift-giving obligation.

Gift-giving Etiquette:

Yes, we all love to receive gifts, and weddings are a perfect occasion for gift-giving. Friends and loved ones customarily honor the commitment of the newly betrothed by showering them with gifts. As the happy couple, just remember to always feel privileged—not entitled. So, let's review a bit of etiquette as it relates to wedding gifts...

1) Never mention gifts (gift choices or gift registry) on the invitation.

2) Publicize your registry information by word of mouth. It's also acceptable to include it on a wedding website or shower invitation (since showers are not typically hosted by the bride or groom)

3) There is no polite way to ask for cash gifts. This can only be done through word of mouth.

4) Honeymoon registries are appropriate.

5) Do not use any gifts until after a wedding.

6) All gifts, even shower gifts, must be returned if the wedding is cancelled or annulled before living together as a married couple.

7) Gift giving for vow renewal, reaffirmation ceremonies or encore weddings is not mandatory, but is a nice gesture.

8) There is no special formula for determining the appropriate amount a guest should spend on a gift. The idea that each gift should cost as much as one plate at the reception is an impractical misconception.

Attire Etiquette:

While rules for modern wedding attire have evolved with the times, there are still traditional standards for fabrics, lengths and styles. Here are some guidelines:

The formality of your bridesmaids' dresses should match that of your wedding dress. Although traditionally the dresses were the same length as the wedding gown, the rise in popularity of tea - and knee-length bridesmaids' dresses has relaxed that rule. As long as the fabric and overall style matches the formality of your floor-length gown, shorter bridesmaids' dresses are perfectly acceptable.

For evening weddings, guests should dress for a nice dinner or event - which includes suits (or black tie) for men and dresses or skirts in sophisticated colors and fabrics for women. Lengths can vary according to the style of the event and location. Female guests may now wear black, but never white.

The Cash Bar Issue:

Yes, weddings are expensive. Yes, couples should be on the lookout for budget saving tips. Yes, weddings are expensive - we know. But never - under any circumstances - should you ever consider hosting a cash bar at your reception. Think about it - you would never ask anyone to pay for a cocktail in your own home. People at your reception are still your guests, even if the event is not held in your house. That said, if a full bar is not within your budget, consider these alternatives:

Host a soft bar, in which guests can order champagne, beer and wine.

Find a reception site that allows you to bring in your own alcohol; you will save serious cash, and anything unopened can be returned for a full refund.

Cut down the size of your guest list - the only significant way to reduce costs in the first place.

Why do people gamble reasons to gambling popularity

Gambling in its various forms has been popular for centuries in different cultures all over the entire world. Whether through the national lottery, in horse racing tracks or in casino table games, people are wagering their money hoping to win big time. Although the number of people who go home with life changing winnings is much smaller than the number of people who have left their money in the casinos, race tracks or bingo halls, the popularity of the pastime has not been reduced through the years.

Despite the low odds of stepping out as winners in most popular forms of gambling is a well known fact, even though gambling suffers from a bad reputation and even when it is illegal, gambling is still one of the most popular pastimes in the world. So, why do people gamble? The most obvious answer would be money, but it will not be a full answer. There are many other reasons that drive people to the nearest gambling facility. Here we will try to offer an answer to this disturbing question.

Luck: the irrational believe in luck is engraved in most of us. These unexplained gut feelings that a special day or a certain number is luckier than the others are sends a lot of people to gamble or even gamble on the same numbers over and over again.

Social Purposes: have you ever wonder how can a group of people beat the pants off someone in a poker game and remain best buddies? You can see it in bingo halls, casino bars and friendly poker games: many people see gambling as an opportunity to make new friends or spend time with old friends in addition to the chance of earning additional money.

Entertainment: many people visit casinos and play their favorite casino games simply because they love it and they are having a great time. In Las Vegas casinos for example, you will meet more recreational gamblers who see gambling as part of their vacation activities than professional gamblers who take gambling as a serious source of income.

Excitement: the act of gambling apparently can give you quite an adrenaline rush. Regardless of the money aspect, the anticipation of the outcome of the game while still not knowing whether it would match your bet is what makes all forms of gambling so thrilling and exciting.

Relaxation: as opposed to the accelerated adrenaline rush described by many gamblers, many gamblers find the gambling experience relaxing. When you think about it, what can be more relaxing than ending a busy work week in the comfortable casino atmosphere, playing your favorite game and served free drinks?

Boredom: whether exciting or relaxing, when the daily lives become an unbearable routine, gambling can serve as a way to escape reality.

Money: in addition to all the reasons mentioned above, gambling allegedly provides an opportunity to can earn unbelievable amounts of money within short time and minimum investment. Even if you are aware to the exact mathematical odds of beating each and every gambling game, if you are an optimist by nature, this slightest chance would nevertheless drive you to a casino, a bookie, a lottery terminal or a bingo hall.

Sauna and positive effects of negative ions

Physiologically, the presence of negative ions in a sweat bath is as important as the heat. The discovery of negative ions in certain types of saunas a few years ago became headline news in Finland. Until then, the healing power of the sauna was attributed to relaxation and increased circulation. Now, negative ions add startling new possibilities.

Since the early 1950s scientists have suspected that ions play an important role in how the body functions and, consequently, in how we feel. Research has shown that an abundance of negative ions in the air we breathe is highly beneficial, while a lack of ions or a higher ratio of positive to negative can cause physical harm. The role played by ions in everyday life has become intensely topical among researchers in the medical profession.

An ion is simply a molecule with an electric charge, either positive or negative. Ionization, or ion formation, occurs when enough energy acts on a molecule to cause it to discharge an electron. Because electrons carry a negative charge, the molecule stripped of an electron has a greater positive charge and becomes a positive ion. The lost electron scoots around loose until it attaches itself to another molecule which causes the new molecule to become negatively charged--a negative ion.

Radioactive substances in the earth's crust and cosmic rays cause most ionization. But fire, crashing water (like water falls and surf), and plants during photosynthesis can produce negative ions as well. Europeans take ion depletions seriously and simple negative ion generators have been installed in many businesses, banks, hospitals, and passenger cars and even airliner cockpits. Furthermore, in this country, Europe and the Soviet Union, negative ion therapy has been used in treatments to help burn victims heal faster, to cure respiratory diseases, to rid the body of general infections, and even to check the spread of some cancers.

Conversely, scientists have found that if the air is charged with too few negative ions and too many positives, we become anxious, fatigued and tense. This condition is known as "pos-ion poisoning," and often occurs as the result of weather disturbances, central air conditioning, smog, and driving too long within the confines of an automobile. Pos-ion poisoning has, in fact, been linked to heart attacks, aggravated asthma, migraine headaches, insomnia, rheumatism, arthritis, hay fever, and most allergies.

The effect of negative ions on sweat bathing was discovered when researchers were trying to account for the tremendous popularity of sauna wood burning stoves over electric stoves. Subjective reasons, such as the fragrance of burned wood, did not fully explain why Finns felt so refreshed after time in a wood heated sauna and quite dulled, from certain electrically heated saunas. Tests showed that the practice of splashing water on super-heated rocks produced an abundance of negative ions.

Many electric stoves, it turned out, were not getting the rocks hot enough and the glowing metal heating coils were spurting more positive ions in the air. Researchers learned that if the rocks were properly heated in electric stoves, the positive ions, being larger and less mobile, would ground out on the hot stones.

The oregon trail beginning in arrow rock missouri

The Oregon Trail holds a unique place in the history of the United States. Thousands of pioneers used the trail to populate the middle and western parts of the country in the 19th century.

Oregon Trail

In the eighteen hundreds, the east coast of the United States had become overcrowded and expensive. For relief, people looked to the opportunities in the then limitless west. Over the next 100 years, hundreds of thousands of people undertook the six month quest to find a better life. Tens of thousands died along the route.

The Oregon Trail begins in Independence, Missouri and winds its way to the Willamette River Valley in Oregon. Follow the trail from beginning to end and you’ll pass through the states of Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming and Idaho.

Tracking the Oregon Trail can take a month by car, so I am going to highlight certain spots in this and further articles. Arrow Rock, Missouri is as good a place as any to start.

Arrow Rock, Missouri

Although Independence, Missouri is technically the beginning of the Oregon Trail, Arrow Rock is a better place to start. Arrow Rock is a tiny town of maybe 100 people and remains much the way it was during the hey day of the Oregon Trail. You’ll get a real taste of the way things were by visiting the tavern and old seminary. One of the odder attractions is the Calaboose.

Arrow Rock has the rather peculiar Calaboose Jail. Built of stone, the jail is particular because it is built for only one person. By one person, I mean no lobby, no office, no nothing, just a stone structure with one wooden door.

To get a better understanding of Arrow Rock, make sure to visit the Arrow Rock Historic Site center. For lodging, there are four or five bed and breakfast options in the town. Campers can stay at the Arrow Rock Historic Site camping grounds.

Visiting Arrow Rock is like stepping back into the Wild West. Look to the west and you can get a feel for how the pioneers felt as they started their long journey.

Arthritis juvenile rheumatoid treatment dog arthritis

I spent quite a bit of time looking, and certainly there is plenty of connected material, but there is little concerned only with arthritis juvenile rheumatoid treatment. I hope the following will be helpful for you.

A person who walks too forcefully, quickly, or heavily may have back arthritis, osteoarthritis, and/or psoriasis arthritis. Continuing to walk this way may lead to other arthritis problems - such as viral arthritis and/or spinal arthritis for example.

Arthritis such as: hip arthritis, shoulder arthritis, arthritis in fingers, and/or arthritis rheumatism, means joint inflammation. Juvenile arthritis, palindromic arthritis, different types of arthritis, or knee arthritis inflammation, for example, is the result of swelling, redness, warmth, and pain. In severe cases of arthritis such as: lumbar arthritis, eye arthritis, spinal arthritis, and/or lumbar arthritis, all joint tissues can be damaged.

Dog Arthritis

Is Spot Simply Not Acting Like Himself?

"Hey, friend, I got this thing going on in my hip and I sure wish you’d do something about it." Wouldn’t it be wonderful if our pets could let us know when they were feeling ill? Unfortunately they cannot speak, so we have to watch them for signs of illness. One of the most common ailments in a dog is arthritis. Arthritis in a dog is common as they age, especially if they suffered from an injury when they were younger.

Does your dog seem to have trouble getting up after being asleep or resting? When he does manage to get up, does he walk like he is stiff and uncomfortable? What about personality changes? Is Spot not behaving as he once did? Is he uninterested in the toys he used to play with and does he spend his day lazing around? While pets do spend more time resting when they age, those with dog arthritis may have no choice but to lie around.

Dog arthritis may also bring about changes in your dog’s temperament. If he was once sweet and even natured, he may become grouchy and irritable or snappish and unfriendly. Let’s face it folks, dog arthritis is as uncomfortable on a canine as osteoarthritis is on a human. What if everyone was oblivious to your pain? Wouldn’t you try to convey to them that something was wrong so they would get you some help?

The first thing you should do if you suspect your pet has dog arthritis is to take him to the vet. Your vet will be able to confirm to you if Spot has arthritis or not. He may even prescribe something to ease your pet’s pain. There are many natural medicines which may also benefit Spot and ease the pain of dog arthritis. Ask your vet about them, or do a search on the Internet.

The most important thing you can do if your Spot has dog arthritis is to convey to him that you understand. You can give him extra attention and if he will let you, you can apply compresses to his afflicted joints. Your dog will take comfort from your attention and be able to relax once he feels you are finally aware of his discomfort.

A review of article submitter pro

The days of tediously submitting your articles to article directories one by one are over!

Imagine this scenario. There you are, in front of your keyboard, proud as punch after putting the finishing touches to your latest article. Feeling good? Great. But, if you are going to submit this article to multiple article directories your work is far from over.

In fact, you’re not even close. Unless you’re a magician, that is. You’ll spend hour upon hour manually copying and pasting to submit your article to all the sites that accept articles. What a drag! What a waste of time that could be better spent on other projects or writing more articles.

If you wish you had some help on occasions like this, you’re not alone. The good news is that I think I’ve found a wizard for you. It’s called Article Submitter Pro, and it is an incredibly powerful software application.

With Article Submitter Pro, you choose which web sites you want to submit your article to. Next, Article Submitter Pro determines the requirements for each site, formats your article to satisfy those requirements, and fills in as much of the forms as possible.

I was amazed at just how accurately it does this. I submitted one of my articles to over 100 article databases and the fields were automatically filled out correctly almost every single time. As a result I was able to submit to all these sites in a tiny fraction of the time it would have taken manually.

You can also create multiple bio boxes. Do you want a different bio on each article? No problem. Or would you like to submit a random bio with each submission? Again, Article Submitter Pro delivers. And don’t worry over whether the bio should be merged with the article or in a field by itself – the software works that out for you, too.

With this software you can also grab an article off your website and fill in all the text fields perfectly, ready for submission, in next to no time.

Now let’s look at management ability. One of the problems I have had in the past is remembering which sites I’ve submitted to and which ones I still need to do. This software keeps a record of all the articles you've ever submitted, and it’s virtually impossible to accidentally send the same article to a submission site twice.

There are just a couple of areas that I feel Article Submitter Pro needs some improvement.

Firstly, the web site says you can store your login information for each article submission site, but that feature seems to have been disabled in the current version. And it would be such an advantage to have it do just that.

Secondly, when merging the bio following an article, the software sometimes inserts your bio twice, requiring you to edit out one of them.

In conclusion, this software is superb. At $167, Article Submitter Pro is worth every dollar. The many powerful features far outweigh the few areas for improvement. It promises to help you submit your articles to hundreds of sites quickly, and it surely delivers on that promise.

I’ve already saved loads of time. But more importantly, I’ve had tons of traffic pouring in to my web site. And my sales climbed immediately. In fact, Article Submitter Pro paid for itself within just a few days.

The first wrist watches part 4 of 5

As with many fashion trends in times gone by, the wrist watch was first made fashionable by royalty -- specifically Queen Elizabeth I who was given one in the late 1500s. It was an adaptation of the pocket watch made more feminine and worn as an adornment accessory.

The very first widely worn wristwatches were designed exclusively for women and called wristlets. Men of the late 19th century and early 20th century still kept track of time using a pocket watch. They considered the wristlet a fashion trend that would, like all others, come and go; and the wristwatch would at that time never be considered by men as anything but a feminine bobble for women.

The wristwatch as a useful way to conveniently keep time for men actually started out as a wartime necessity. The British army in their fight against South Africa in the Boar War in the early 1900s strapped pocket watches to their wrist so that they could hold their weapons and still synchronize maneuvers with other troops. The first wristwatches for men were promoted to the military for men going into active service. Many of these influential men found the convenience of not fishing in a pocket for their watch indispensable even after returning from the field.

Changes in watchbands also added to the popularity of the wristwatch for both men and women. The flexible band pieces that attached to the open-faced watch made it easy to fasten a leather strap, which kept the watch securely, attached to the wrist. Now wristwatches were standard military issue for the allied troops of World War I.

In 1915, The Rolex Watch Company, formerly known as Wilsdorf & Davis, was founded. Hans Wilsdorf liked the idea of a wristwatch for both men and women and worked to improve the accuracy. Rolex was recognized as a leader in this research and received the first wristwatch Chronometer award given out by the School of Horology in Bienne.

In the mid-1920s, following the war, men started to associate wristwatches with the brave heroes who fought and no longer viewed them as only for women. Rolex seized upon this new image and continued through the 1950s to market watches specifically to men. Professional, masculine-style watches were developed to be worn by men in various fields of work.

The development of new technology capable of tracking time and performing the other functions of a cell phone or planner may lead to a time when the watch will be less of an important way to keep time and more of fashion accessory or status symbol. But, let’s face it, if anyone ever asks you if you know the time, your first instinct is to raise your wrist, whether or not you remembered to put on your watch!

Diabetes type 1 and type 2 weight loss nutrition

If you have diabetes you have to be very careful about what you eat. You need to take extra care in managing your blood glucose levels. You can do this by eating healthy, watching your diet, taking medication prescribed by a physician and getting proper exercise.

What foods should you eat? There is a food pyramid for people with diabetes. The Diabetes Food Pyramid divides food into six groups. At the top of the list is fats sweets and alcohol. Since this is the smallest group this tells you to eat very little from this section. The next group is milk, meat, meat substitutes and other proteins. On the pyramid 2 to 3 servings of milk is suggested and 4 to 6oz of meat/protein is mentioned. Then you have your vegetables and fruits. Veggies choose at least 3-5 servings per day and fruits choose at least 2-4 servings a day. The last group which you should eat the most of is breads grains and other starches. Type I Diabetes is a chronic condition with no cure, but the outlook for people living with this disease is far better than it was 20 years ago. There has been much advancement in medicine, research and patient education reducing disabling complications and extended the expectancies of life to those without diabetes. In other words people with diabetes 1 can live just as long as people without diabetes with the proper treatment and educating themselves on this disease.

What is Type 2 Diabetes? With type 2 the body does not produce enough insulin or the cell just simply ignores the insulin. Type 2 is the most common form of diabetes. You need insulin in order for the body to be able to use sugar. The basic fuel for your cells is sugar. Insulin takes the sugar from the blood into the cells. When glucose does not go into the cells but builds up in the blood instead it can cause problems. The problems it can cause are over time high glucose levels could hurt your heart, kidneys, nerves and eyes. What are the most common symptoms for adults with Type II Diabetes? The answer is fatigue, blurred vision, thirst and excessive urination. Do you think you may be diabetic? Check with your doctor. Your credit can be your life

Your credit report can make or break you. It is one of the most important financial aspects of who you are. A credit report contains your home and work addresses, all the purchases and credit cards that you have made payments on and also your identity. This report is considered when you apply for a job, set up a business relationship or are applying for a loan. A bad report can keep you from getting any of these items.

You credit report is detailed information about you. Credit reports are used by creditors to determine if they want to extend credit to you. These reports are compiled by credit reporting agencies and contain your past debt paying information. These agencies give out the credit information to companies and individual consumers. A debtor also has the right to request their credit information at any time. Some credit reporting agencies charge a small fee to get a copy of the information that is in your file, but usually you can get one free report each year from each credit reporting agency

Like most businesses, law regulates credit-reporting agencies. That law is called the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Several things are dependent on this act including consumer privacy, creditor decisions and credit worthiness of a debtor. This law keeps credit agencies from withholding debtor information from those who request it. A written statement that has been signed by the debtor must accompany this request. The primary purpose of the act is to show accuracy and fairness of the agencies credit reporting and maintain that certain procedures are being followed.

The Fair Credit Reporting Act ensures that derogatory information that is outdated cannot be reported. It also states that no information including medical history and other items can be released to employers with the debtor’s consent. You also have the right to have the name and address of any credit agency that gives out information, which causes you to be denied employment, credit or insurance. You also can seek damages from any credit agency that violates the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It is advisable to check your credit report on a regular basis for items that are incorrect or might not belong to you. One of your rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act is if you are denied credit, insurance or employment due to your credit report; you can request the information of the reporting agency. You have sixty days to request a free copy of your credit report from the reporting credit agency. These reporting agencies are not allowed to give out any information without your written consent, under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Another one of your rights under this act is that you can dispute the accuracy of the information in your report.

If you have tried to buy a car or a house you know how important your credit report is. There are a lot of people who don’t know what a credit report is or how it affects them. If you have a bad credit rating you will not be able to buy items or they may come with an enormous interest rate.

Telescope or telescope binoculars - what s the difference

The basic difference between binoculars and telescope binoculars is their intended use. A pair of field binoculars is generally used for magnifying a set object that is relatively close and within a certain field of vision. However, telescope binoculars are made specifically for stargazing and possess a much larger focal length than traditional binoculars.

Why Use Telescope Binoculars vs Telescope

The truth is that a person can see more of the night’s sky with a good pair of binoculars than an inexpensive telescope. And another thing, it can be easier to peer through telescope binoculars with both eyes open than through a telescope with one eye closed.

Viewing the stars and planets through a telescope for any length of time can certainly tire your eye muscles and actually cause focusing problems. As a matter of fact, there are more and more amateur astronomers looking into the benefits of telescope binoculars because of the ease of use. These stargazing binoculars can be mounted on a tripod for additional stability, and a better view of the cosmos.

How Telescope Binoculars Work

Firstly, these binoculars are designed specifically for stargazing and feature a wider aperture opening which allows more light to enter the lenses. This provides for a brighter field of view and the object being observed. The prisms on telescope binoculars are different in that they are better suited for astronomy. Their prisms actually absorb less light making the viewed object stand out and appear brighter. They are especially useful when viewing in low light conditions.

How to Select the Right Telescope Binoculars

There are a number of different kinds of binoculars on the market today that can be used for astronomy. But one thing to insist on is that your desired telescope binoculars have what is called a porro prism. This prism is geared for low light viewing and ideal for stargazing.

The more common prism utilized in binoculars is called a roof prism and is not conducive to good nighttime viewing. But technological advancements have allowed for the upgrading of optical and lens capabilities and improved viewing quality. Despite these upgrades, you will still benefit by using the porro prism binoculars. Their quality is better for astronomical uses and generally cost less.

Stabilize Your Telescope Binoculars for Better Stargazing

When selecting telescope binoculars, make sure they have the capability to be mounted on a stable object, preferably a tripod. When looking at smaller objects in the skies, any movement of your binoculars will result in a blurred or shaky image.

Whether you are stargazing with telescope binoculars or a standard telescope, a fixed placement will enhance your viewing experience. It is really worth the cost of purchasing a tripod and avoiding all the frustration that comes with constant re-focusing on your desired celestial body.

Telescope binoculars are an alternative to the traditional telescope and can increase your stargazing pleasure. If you prefer viewing the night skies with both eyes open, this is the perfect choice for you!

The olympic games were not always so friendly

The modern Olympics we see are often held up as a continuation of the first games. While the basic idea of sporting events is common to both, there is much that is different.

The Olympic Games Were Not Always So Friendly

The original Olympics were actually only one part of four games held during the year. The others were the Nemean, Isthmian and Pythian Games. The Olympics, however, were by far the most famous. These games derived their name from Olympia, were they were held.

The Olympics were first held in 776 BC. The games were part of a religious festival in honor of the Greek gods. They were held in the temple sanctuary of Olympia in Peloponnesus, which is located in southern Greece. The games celebrated sporting achievement and excellence as well as victory. In fact, victory was the only thing celebrated and it often stood in place of open warfare between various factions. There was no silver or bronze medal awarded.

Every year, the Olympics were held on the second full moon after the summer solstice. This would have put them in July or August of each year. The games lasted for roughly five days. A truce was declared for the up to three months prior to the games so contestants could heal from battles and prepare themselves.

The origin of the games has not been conclusively determined. Greek legend has it that Zeus, himself, started the games. Other legends have it that Herakles founded the games. A third view is that they games were created as a memorial to Pelops, a hero. Whatever the reason, the games have certain stood the test of time even if the original Greeks would not recognize them today.

The original Olympics had only one event – the foot race. Not until the 18th Olympiad were individual events such as wrestling, horse riding, discus and javelin throwing were added. At its height, over 40,000 people would pile into a stadium in Olympia to watch the events.

Given the peaceful tone of the modern Olympics, it is somewhat surprising the pankration was one of the most popular events of the early games. It was essentially a brawl between as many contestants as entered, fighting all at the same time, with the last man standing declared the winner. All Olympic events were restricted to men, to wit, women could only watch.

Ancient Greeks were very competitive, and the games were about the only no-war outlet for their passion. Given this basic truth, it is somewhat odd that the modern Olympics attempt to disdain politics and national rivalries.

Putting the ball in the hole the final step

You take almost half your shots around the green during your round of golf. Concentrate on that last fifty percent and dramatically improve your score.

Approach your putt the same as you do every shot, complete the pre-shot routine and execute. I have written about the first two of three steps previously: The mental aspect and reading the green. Now we address the third and final step, execution.

After you have your mind right and have read your putt, here is the template of how to execute.

Take a temporary stance near the ball. Take two or three practice swings while looking at the hole, not your ball. These swings should be similar to what you envision your putting stroke to be, BUT look at the hole, not the ball.

Next, take your real stance. Your body, feet and shoulders should be aligned with the line you want the ball to initially travel from your strike. This stance should have your feet shoulder width, eyes directly above the ball, and weight completely balanced on your feet. It should feel completely natural.

Your grip on the putter HAS to be light. (You should see the statistics on this!) Your putt requires such accuracy that any hint of tension or taught muscles will inhibit a smooth sweep of your putter down your intended line.

Once you are in your stance, do a quick check of your alignment by looking at the hole, your intended line and your putter head. Next, do the critical step: Take several seconds and look hard at the hole while visualizing the path of your ball rolling into the hole. Since you have already gotten your mind right and accurately read your putt, this will just put you in line with the previous steps. When complete, you are completely ready to putt the ball in the hole.

From your previous practice swings, you know how you will swing the putter and no longer have to even think about that. Your line has been established and all you have to do is swing your putter down your line to propel your ball the correct distance. The goal is to have enough velocity on your ball to carry it around 18 inches past the hole. If it doesn't get to the hole it will not go in. If it goes two feet too far, you can easily make the come back putt.

Now, let us execute. Without breaking your left or right wrist, draw the putter back along the target line.

How far you draw your putter back will determine how far your putt will travel. I prefer to have my back swing the same speed as my stroke with a continuous fluid event.

On your forward stroke the putter MUST follow your target line just like your backstroke. Continue this stroke though impact and down the target line. **(Want to improve your accuracy 50 to 100%?? After you strike the ball continue to stare at the spot your ball was at impact for several seconds. For example: If you have an eight foot putt, you should hear the ball fall in the hole before you see it fall in the hole.)

As a small side note – many professionals and amateurs use a line drawn on the ball to assist in alignment.

I do not use this technique, but it is valid if you need help in aligning your putt. Others, use "spot putting", similar to bowling in that they pick a spot a few feet ahead and aim at that spot vs. the hole. I have tried this over the years and have as much success using it as without.

Your final step in your entire putting event is to avoid trampling the line of your opponents as you pick your ball out of the bottom of the jar. Enjoy each of these trips!

Drug and alcohol interventions - a life changing wake up call

A drug and alcohol intervention is a process of overcoming the barriers, getting across to the addicts and making them realize where they stand and what can be done to come out of the spell of substance addiction.

Intervention for drug abuse is a wake up call for someone who is going off the deep end. It is an attempt to put a safety net under the person whose life is spiraling downwards out of control. Successful interventions are behavioral interrupters. They address the problem, set boundaries, and offer solutions. They penetrate the addict’s denial system and are a turning point their life and ideally result in the individual going into a drug and alcohol rehab program.

A drug and alcohol intervention is an honest, heartfelt, communication. Intervention is an opportunity for family, friends and co-workers to say, “Hey, we’re watching you die, Man. It’s tearing our hearts out. What you do effects us too! We want you to get some help!“ An intervention of truth, piercing the protective armor of denial, is an incredible gift of love. It is opportunity of hope for a new life, for both the addict and his family.

Recovery does not have to be a painful process. Life is painful enough. Recovery should feel good. New alternative treatments that are holistic in nature are having remarkable results. In the past, addicts have resisted treatment, because it seemed more painful and difficult, than their active addiction. Thankfully, times have changed. Alternative treatment modalities have come a long way from the old days “break them down, let them suffer and feel the pain so they don’t do this again“ mentality. Today we know there is a lot more to recovery than shoving the twelve steps down someone’s throat.

Healthy treatment does not just give you a time out, put a band-aid on a wound the size of a decubicus ulcer, and send you on your way. Healthy treatment does not shame or degrade a human being, instead it heals low self esteem and empowers the individual to reach new heights. Healthy treatment gives you what you need to feel good physically, emotionally and spiritually. Healthy treatment reignites the spirit and restores the joy of living. Healthy treatment is holistic treatment of mind, body and spirit.

Recently the Art & Entertainment Network‘s show INTERVENTION, introduced America to a heroin addict using in her bathroom. We witnessed her progress while in treatment at North Miami’s G&G Holistic Addiction Treatment Program, better known as THE HOLISTIC CENTER. A sober year later, this woman is now working for the treatment center which helped her on her path to recovery. The before and after pictures are astonishing. We see two different people: 1) a heroin addict standing in a six hour long vegetative state in front of her bathroom mirror, nodding off after shooting up, and 2) a bright eyed, confident, joyful woman who is an inspiration to others, and who is self-supporting financially and emotionally. Her intervention was the bridge that transported her from the dead zone and gave her the opportunity to recover.

Think of an intervention as a cargo ship that transports the addict from active addiction to a destination, which is the protection of a addiction treatment facility. The captain is the facilitator. The crew is made of up of trusted family, friends, and co-workers. You have done your research and have a timetable and destination in mind.

Your cargo is your loved one and his emotional baggage. As Captain, you must steer the ship. Each crew member takes a turn at the helm, speaking his truth in love, chipping away at the addict’s anchor of denial. By the time, each person has shared their truth, feelings, needs, fears, and hope, the family will have traveled a great distance from denial into truth, and thoroughly defined the problem. It is now time to offer a solution.

Holistic Treatment is a solution, a blessing. Imagine treatment as a well of healing waters, not a prison from which you need to escape. It is imperative that the addict understand that they are receiving a gift, not punishment. Regardless of the mask’s of arrogance and defiance, the core of every addict is shame, guilt, self-hatred and fear. Love motivates and empowers. Acceptance waters the soul and facilitates healing and spiritual wellness.

In this day and age, when addiction recovery treatment is a billion dollar industry with pitiful success ratios, it is imperative to know that there is HOLISTIC TREATMENT that works, addressing the mind, body, and soul. Holistic treatment not only has the highest recovery rates, individuals seem to thrive, find genuine happiness, joy for living, and peace of mind.
